heya ! wow these characters are looking really good though i would work on placing them in their enviroment more either with strong supporting color and atmosphere or some wicked brushstrokes

keep em coming you have some real solid work

also you can never have enough drawing from life XD

PS: keep up with the master studys i think they are helping you a lot !

Hey Omerta , good posts from you ,like your creature designs alot,
i only saw in your digital renderings that your are sometimes not aware of the terminator ( the border of shadow and light]
especially in your apple painting, the apple is flat because you forgot to add reflective light and also the terminator to the object,
be a bit more aware of light and shadow in your objects so that it looks in space than rather like a flat graphic.

Keep it up man , you study alot , hard work always pays off

Hey man, thanks for dropping by my SB! Your graphic style is really nice, and your color schemes work well. I would be sure to look for balance in your forms, and work on creating a dynamic flow. There's a book by Harold Speed entitled 'The Practice and Science of Drawing' that I have recently finished reading. In it he talks about what I mentioned with examples from different classical painters. Its worth a read.

    Cheers,

Your last sketch made me think about how I used to draw characters. I'd start from what the character would look like at "level 1". Each sketch next to it, I'd add armor or weapons, or upgrade whatever he had before, and make him stronger or faster looking.

The mechs on the previous page are really cool as are your master studies. Keep at it yo!

Zorcron-Thanks for stoping by!. The master studys are very enjoyable. Each day passes, and I grow more fond with the old masters.

artpersists-Hmm, cant even remember to tell you the truth haha. I know that i have been creating all my life, I was REALLY into legos as a kid. But they were so expensive! so i started, to draw more i guess? Thanks for stoping by man!

Cerasela-Thank you very much for the comments! I guess i should say ive gotten more comftorable with my character designs. Yeah terminator is such a hard range for me ill have to do some more studys about it.

    ALEXANDRE da Vinci-Thanks buddy!

Jushra-Thank you, I will look that book up im always into reading about the classical painters.

jackpot_anjr90-Haha thanks. Its summer for me i drink to much coffee and dont sleep enough! Cheers!

    MeticoloR'-Thanks man

snootchy-Thanks for stoping by! I need to learn how to do the animation step things that i see in some threads.

HugeHarHar-Thanks for dropin by man! Thats pretty much how i approach my paintings, and drawings haha now that i think of it. Its fun to see how far a square or even a scribble can evolve.

    BobbyDash-Thank you!

Nice, you stabilize your new skill.
Try to build the body on a constructive style(with lines indicating 3d mass)
This will help you place the equipment in 3d body.Because some parts are flattening their surroundings. In overal you are doing really great and improving very fast.
    Keep it up always !!!

Hi and thanks for stopping by my sketchbook.
I like what's going on here, as an advice I can say, you could try to go a bit further the usual Fantasy designs and imagine something a bit more crazy just to open your mind up a bit. If you go back to Fantasy stuff after that, you will see how even that will improve.
Do more studies, and try to make them look a little bit more finished, so you learn to make a finished looking, but not overdone piece.

your stuff took a big leap in an awesome direction!
your painting studies are totally great--and you are approaching them well. keep doing them, and maybe experiment a bit more with diff. lighting conditions by doing multiple copies of the same image, just changing the mood? just an idea : )

Your colours have improved a lot with the extra saturation. Your old stuff is muted a little too much, good to see you worked that out. Anatomy studies are the way to go now, imo. Nice designs, and work in general, keep it up!

lichunlei-Thanks you have some awsome sketches yourself.

kingkostas-Hey whats up man! Yeah i think some of thats dues to not studying enough armor. Ill have to try some whole body armor studies.
    Thanks for dropin by!

sketcheth-Ahh shucks thanks man! Yeah sargents a really inspiring painter his color and bush strokes are unmatched. Yeah i was gona erase it but kinda made me smile haha. Thanks for stopin by

pijus-Thanks, yeah ill have to start giving my paintings a more finsihed look there all pretty sketchy.

walnut-Thanks man! Rearly in this thread someone told me i should use bigger brushes at first to block stuff in. Havnt really gotten the method down, esspecially in my characters.

hungryan-Hey whats up! That is a great idea i need to start expanding my ideas more then the usual norm. Thanks for the comment!

hala-Sup hala! Thanks for stopin by! That is an awsome idea would be a nice way to learn about light more.

domo arigato-Haha no worrys man my sketchbooks not goin no were. Thanks for dropin by though! The studies are really helping me with brush economy and edges so much more to learn.

Man Made God-Thanks man! Yeah im trying to dive more into color. Still so much to learn about it. Its very interesting to me esspecially how the old masters use color.
