that last piece, the concept is great. Just a sharper contrast curve in those values and it will pop like madness. Love to see it finished.![]()

Wow. Amazing sketchbook. I'm still going through the entire thing. Love your progress.
I love how you have those vulgarities scribbled on your SB in the first few pages of this thread=p Pretty much how I feel about my own work now. So close to ripping pages off=p
wtf was I doing when I was 16. pfft. Thanks for the inspiration! Back to the drawing board!
getting bored but still pushing.
instead of bored actually i should probably say without a paddle. x_x
my fuckups are surfacing and fast.

Love your structural approaches to the figure, here-- great stuff. Especially if you're in your first term in school. Looking forward!
I like your various work trough your sketch book. Inspiring to work harder my self, I'm sure at this rate you will be all fine.![]()
Bapsi boopsi. That character is interesting, I like the face. Even if you're getting bored and it's feeling poopy, just finish it. You learn a lot, and the frustration from making it poopy gives you a lot to think about for the next character. It looks pretty nice to me though!
Love your poses in post #1108. I know that blocking in the form with angular lines is typically the first step to drawing the figure, but you might wanna finish it off by giving your lines a more organic look. It could help enforce the rhythm you've got...just don't get TOO organic...that's when you know you're seeing too much detailKeep it up

I know why I getting bored ... cuz you don't know how to push further ... It's time baps , It's time to start messing around with the stuff ... start drawing with a rock!

I absolutely love how much personality all your works seem to have. Especially the sketchbook pages. I remember first looking at this sketchbook way back in 2008 and it's either inspiring or depressing to see how much you've improved since then. I guess it's depressing because it makes me seriously regret having put art on the side when I see how much you've achieved. On the other hand, it shows what's possible and makes me want to draw so I guess I'll go with the former and say it's inspiring. Great sketchbook and looking forward to future updates.Your hatching looks great as well.
I got to say, you developed a great sketching manner. Your drawings are very interesting to look at. Good luck bapsi![]()
you're moving at a good pace yourself
id agree that the second step in post 1115 is best. luckily, you have a photo reference right there. pull it up on screen and hit that guy again. also, check out http://www.infectious.com. that piece would be perfect for a skateboard or something.
keep at it!

your figures look really good and your "doodles" are a cut above your earliest posts (and they were pretty good then, too). i really enjoy following your posts. keep up the good work!
Peepin and creepin on that sketchbook...hope to see more development to those figures. Don't be afraid to "ruin" the paper, work that medium into it, giving the book more character, seeing your reaction to my work, the only way is through.
thanks guys.
well at least i tried.
approx 40 min, one layer. etc etc.
tried using a hard brush on this one. >_>;
