Ming: yes i had a mountain in my head

what i've been doing lately is bad i try to do it without ref and i failed
so i used my own hand as ref, but still bad
tried to do a self portrait, drew some characters from the zohan movie (it was a poor movie, really disappointing)

Hi Ronald, dude I am so impresed with your improvement!
Your anatomy and life drawing has come on so much since the first page, and
I think the Hogarth studys really upped your skill as well,

    great work man, keep improving!

I dunno why are you so dissatisfied with your new hand studies, they're not bad, they look like believable hands, even without shadows! my hand studies are bad, not yours it's common sense that hands are tough but it seems I have extreme difficulties with them, I dunno copying (photo/life drawing) in big amount will help or I should analyze the anatomy of the human hand, but I already did that

it's 1:02AM and it's been 3 months... time is not my friend

    Untouched24: thank you
JailHouseRock: love that Leonidas caricature and damn 16 years old? i'm freaking retarded
dlquddnr: tell me their reaction anyway going to law school should be a good life experience for you, no big harm except the money and the time
Silvenon: yes I appreciate the warm words
shiNIN: it still looks stiff to me, personal expectations, I guess. being satisfied is to stay at a plateau of a mountain - dunno who said it
Vigilandus: I'm trying to see it as planes. then in my head i think of it as a 3d software running on my paper monitor

i learned that the pads on the palm side of the fingers are equal in length
    it makes me happy
also in my own craziness i signed up for the teen knockout challenge.. i started something really primitive but it didn't fit any topic in the end. besides, i have a better idea now

another concern was brush economy... i should start with a big rounded brush to block in stuff before horsing around with my favorite small caligraphy brushes... yes a thought to consider

    argh already 3 months

I like the new pictures the studies are impressive (good feet! me too, me too... I will make tons of studies today), the skulls are cute and the painting has a nice relaxing mood, light on the waves...
and I understand you about the hands, I don't say it's the top, ofcoz, just that I can't see a reason to be so unpleased, hands need much practice (and there are unfortunate beings who try, try and often fail miserably ).

wow, im liking these new sketches. especially the new hand studies. really impressive. your color use is awesome in this last post, definitely relaxing like shinin said. good work on that earlier SP. i think you could really start thinking about form on the face rather than seeing it as so two dimensional. casting more dramatic lighting on your face will help you see the depth in your features more effectively. keep it up, davinci.

That chicken sketch was all thanks to you your crosshatching has great rhythms and I was really envious so I tried to change my technique a little bit. It used to be all 45 degrees straight boring lines. still have to work on that though.

    Thanks dude!

The last one = huge improvment
    Latest studies = huge improvment
    Man really nice pencil studies
    The skulls seem really great
Do life drawing of your hands feet legs etc it's sooooo funn, you don't have to start with a 4hours drawing you can do like 10mins or just basic shading and then the more you do the funner it gets and you can spend more time on it
    Have fun!!!!!!!!

so yeah I changed my name yay! for some obscure reason my parents gave me the nickname of asshole (it sounds less bad in Chinese..), or just ass in short.

    enough of that

i bought a new A4 sketchbook and a tiny one for eventual bus/subway sketching 140 pages of good quality paper has been wasted so far D:

Soo I'm a conte first timer and I hated it it's nice to try something new though. I like pastel, really bright and lively colors. Abstract is fun but I feel like I'm cheating

also I've achieved some primitive result with digital painting, I'll have to break it down to little pieces and start doing more in depth studies

edit: i realized i misspelled wisdom ('wisedom') can't believe it dang
