    Apple

Yes, I do hope that it is an apple in your eyes as well. I'm practicing color, values, and such...

Oh, and I have a little question, do you have any tips on how to paint horizontally with your tablet? It is like the most difficult thing to do digitally :c

Thats real good man, the thumbnail looks totally awesome, glossiness is almost spot on.
    A Bumskee fan here?
Dont understand what the foreground edge is for nor the two round things behind the apple but i dont care anyway since the focus is on the apple.
If "paint horizontally" is what i think u mean, as far as im concerned i just use the rotate canvas function at like 90CW.
    Hope it helps!
(iv gotta go check ur sketchbook now)

Thank you! I haven't heard of Bumskee, I'll look him up later and shifting the canvas 90 degrees... I'll give that a go in my next practice piece. Thanks again!

Oh.. and there's nothing much in my sketchbook yet hahaha

It's a nice apple! I kinda want to see some harder edges here and there. Everything looks just a little too soft. I don't know about what you see in the reference but a little red bounced into the surface the apple's sitting on would be nice. Good job with this!

Works great as a thumbnail, does not work as a full size image.

I usually tilt my tablet 45 degrees when I paint, but I also do that when I write or draw\paint with physical media, so maybe it's just a quirk I have. It's worth trying out though.

You know what, my focus is on that silver handle in the background. That is some awesome looking silver!!! Wow... I need to learn how to paint stainless steel like that! Awesome.

It looks great! some of the lines end up a little too wavy in the full size version but you've nailed the colors and lighting.

horizontal is on the screen -- you flip the canvas in the program not the tablet... I flip all the time-- go to the top menu and flip the canvas 90 degree's.
Rad apple so glossy & the metal is looking good too!! Kelly

I disagree with u, sure it works better as a thumbnail (that happens all the time) but even at full size its still real cool.

Bai Fan oh? hmmm... how is that? Is it too rough? I'll play with with the smudge and airbrush later

humboldt squid hehehe that's odd, I might try experimenting and see if it works for me :3

It seems like it was approached almost like a product shot, and I was disappointed as to the rendering when it is shown full size. The chrome should have hard smooth edges, the burners look like they have not been addressed and the stem of the apple has no depth to it at all.

    But the thumbnail looks awesome.

Bai Fan oh, I see what you mean now. I will try to fix that, but I don't know what you mean by "not been addressed". I'm not really keen on the terms yet ahehe
