Thanks Tomat!
Meh, did not turn out like I planned but --->
I just can't keep myself from using the purplz :| Might work on the torso/hands a bit more, but the head is prety much that I think.
Thanks Tomat!

You have a lot of great character ideas and you have a lot of talent with color and the digital media. but I think your character designs will greatly improve as you continue to do more anatomy and figure drawings. You have all the good ideas, you now just need to further your understanding of human anatomy and proportions. Once you do that your paintings will be even more amazing. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for the motivating words Mr. [E]!
worked on the demon a bit more

You have a lot of great ideas going on in here. The posemaniacs studies a a good step--they're a great way to practice gesture. I've noticed a lot of small head thumbnails--these are an awesome way to ideate characters. I'd really like to see you take one or two of these and turn them into a much bigger, longer study. See how far you can take a little thumbnail.
This latest piece is coming along--you've made a lot of progress on it. You might want to take a closer look at the leg/feet area as you work on it more. Right now there is little to indicate which leg is in front of the other--try to clarify.
Looking forward to seeing it finished, and looking forward to future updates.
HEY, the last one looks really good, but i don't quite like the colors in his left arm, too saturated i think, and in the face, too distracting and the details of the face can't read well. If i squint my eyes, the torso area reads really good, but those spot are a bit off..
About the legs, i foresee him with a more agressive pose, maybe with his legs wide open and the knees half bent.
Well, hope the crits are helpful.
Cheers man.
Thanks for the crits Diego and Sedig! I tried to fix some spots that you mentioned. Added some epic Armor of Phail ;|
I worked on the guy don't feel like taking it any further I think, Probably gonna do something similar but try building the character on one of those posemaniacs thumbs, something in the lines of what Sedig was talking about!
Just thought I'd add this, found it funny myself.![]()

Hi Lakka, thanks for dropping by my sb.
You've got quite solid understanding of light and shape, which makes your painting looks great in terms of forms. I am not sure your likeness, but one thing I would suggest that you may like to check the compositions of your painting. The colour and texture are nice, I think once you apply the composition with the background, it will look more lively. Keep the nice work.
Ths guy works pretty well--both pose and context are believable. As of right now, one thing sticks out to me: the spear hand. Right now, it's not quite holding on to that spear. Open it up a little more to account for the spear's thickness, and you might check the angle. The colors don't bother me as is--I really like the desaturated sepia-ness you've got going on. It's somewhat similar to the effect you get when you use watercolors with coffee. All this one needs is a little tightening/adjusting, and it's money in the bank.
Thanks for the feedback Sedig and UnSharpened! I'll try to work on it later today, I am kind of stuck with it atm, dont know what I should do with it right now

This is a bit messy but I kind of like how it turned out, gonna do a few of these and then start working on some older things methinks

I like this last one too--your brushstrokes look really confident, especially in the nose area. The planes are well defined. About that piece with the spear--you might post it over in the critiques section--you'll get more input on that piece specifically.
That is a very good looking hat.
Heh glad you like it Tomat
Sedig yeah that is a good idea, but I guess I'm not going to go much further with it!

Felt like doing something 'fun' before going to bed after a good amount of being awake and well, these two are a bit trippy for some reason![]()

HiI had lot of fun going thru your work. you seem to inprove with every pic you do. have one crit though! I think you sould try work with some grey scale in PS or painter to get better at values. mostly to get better at getting more contrast in your pics. Gotto say I really like your dark pieces. lots of contrast and really intresting to look at.
Good job, keep it up.
My sketchbook!

Strong sense of light in the last two posts. Also, remember--sometimes we take small steps backward before we make big leaps. Don't worry about it, just move on.
Just a thought on the last one--I think it might work nice horizontally, like cropped down to about an inch over the umbrella, and extended to the right another two inches or so. Again, just a thought.
Hey I actually did a cropped one too, didn't figure to extend it though, thus it looked so teenyweeny I decided to post the one with the full sky![]()
Gotta remember that next time!
Now that you mentioned it though, I guess I'll post this one too

i like most of ur stuff & working style!
keep it up!
OH SNAP. You've got some great light going in in that last tank piece. If you plan to refine it further, be careful. Don't lose tha light in the details, cuz I really like it.
On the beach piece--if you feel ambitious, go ahead and extend it. I much prefer the horizontal.
Did someone say your colorschemes are awesome?
I do so hereby.
