Please Give Advice!!

Just need some advice, My Genius 9" x 12" tablet kicked the bucket and so so I took it in to be replaced, after 3 mounths of excuses about supliers they agreed to refund me. So now that I know that a genius tablet will only last so long, ( I dont have enough mony to buy a wacom) I was thinking of buying the cheaper 6" x 8" version (cuz iether way its gonna break at some point) as an intermediary tool until i have enough for a wacom.

So my actual question is: has any one gone from using a larger tablet to a smaller one, and if so what was it like, was it awkward and cramped and hard to get used to, or was the transition smooth and easy?

Switching sizes is disorienting regardless if you are going from small to large or vise versa. My best bit of advice is to buy a refurbished or used wacom graphire. You'll save some and get a better product over all...i haven't seen anything aside from a wacom that was really worthwhile.

Thanks for the advice Blue, and I would do what you suggest but i havn't come accross any place that sells refurbished wacoms, Its hard even to find second hand ones ( I live in South Africa)

wacom have an online store, also - ebay.
I heard apetec is decent too, maybe you can find them in south Africa!

Don't order a wacom off ebay, ever.

It's been 2 months and I still haven't gotten it, even from a seller with 100% good feedback (and he's been there for a few years.)

Justin have you tried to get your money back??? That is what you should be doing at this point! I think you can contact EBAY to help you even.

I have bought 2 off of ebay, both the small ones each for apx $30 and i love them both. But going from the nice big ones at school to a small one was a transition in a half, but now it doesn't bother me at all. i zoom in more is all.

I bought my 6x8 from ebay and got it within a week or so. You seem to have found an ass of a seller. Always, ALWAYS, read. Check out his negative feedback. Check out everything you can from a buying before you click submit payment or bid. Like I said, I got mine rather quickly...so not sure what went wrong with yours Justin.
