Wow doggy, how have I not checked out this thread yet? You've got a
lot of great stuff going on here. You've got a lot of nice variety going
on and I can see gradual improvement with each new sculpt. You're also
very open to everyone's comments which shows a lot of maturity and
lack of ego. Always nice traits to see among fellow artists. Anyway,
keep postin' these great updates and I'll definitely make sure I don't
    overlook this thread again!

KU: Yeah, he realy made it clear what to do! I sort of ended up with tunnel vision trying to get the lips right (combination of Rhona Mitra and Angelina Jolie btw) so iŽm gonna give her(?) a rest for a while and come back with fresh eyes.

Troy: Thanks for the kind words! IŽm here to learn you know, and itŽs a great feeling when someone of your skill says iŽm improving

Well, i havenŽt posted anything for a loooong time, so i just thought iŽd share a little something iŽve been working on for a while.
IŽm a huge zombie fan, so iŽm going to make two of these to be used as bookends for my zombie dvd collection... just for the fun of it.

As usual, please crit the hell out of it!

Oh, and iŽm a crap photographer so you canŽt realy make out the skintexture...

    Hey Doggy

Great to see some new stuff from you The Zombie is looking great so far, brilliant detailing round the ribs, and the skin looks nice and loose.
I really like the movement in it as if he is trudging towards you with his arm forward like that.

Cant wait to see it painted with loads of blood??

Looking forward to seeing the other end!

    Great stuff m8

Thanks for looking Erol, and yes, there will be blood
IŽm thinking one of them will emerge from some sort of toxic goo, and the other one will erupt from the ground to cover the most common forms of zombie lore

    Good to be back Temonster

Quick update on the zombie. IŽve applied a few washes of grays and blues, painted in a lot of veins and started adding the lovely goo. I based the skin colour on blue cheese

Wow Doggy this looks fantastic!! The paint job is great, good choice for the colours

How did you do that awesome looking goo?? I've just gotta try that on a zombie figure.

Thanks a million Bongsplat! Still quite a few details to paint, and a bit of tweaking to do, but i couldnŽt resist the lure of the goo

My theory regarding this guy is that he has been soaking in some sort of chemical waste for a while, so i figured there wouldnŽt bee a lot of blood in the fluids leaking from him. IŽve added some pinks and yellow though...

To make the goo i use spray glue (iŽll get back to you with a brand name if you want... DonŽt remember now). Spray some into a shallow disposable container and mix it with ordinary acrylics until it gets a little bit sticky. Then i just use something pointy (toothpick works a treat) to dab some on, and pull those lovely stringy things around.
Now, since the spray glue gets kind of brittle when dry, i "paint" on some water thin superglue on top of it to make it a little bit stronger and shinier Ta daaaaa!

Back after a while in lurker mode. IŽve managed to put together a quickie Darth Vader for a friend. Well i say quickie... as quick as it gets while working 11 hour days and having a small child. IŽve also finished the comission i was working on. ItŽs sort of a 3d logotype.

Oh, and Darth is by no means accurate. I actualy tried to make it look more like a statue... if i hadŽnt iŽd still be sanding the damn thing...

First few layers of paint on the Pred... What do you think? Still a few things to sculpt, such as some skulls and the wrist blades, but iŽll be doing those separately anyway. Hardly any details painted yet, just trying to get a feel for the basic colour scheme...

I dont know if this was intentional, since you prefaced with your Vader not really looking like Vader, but it actually really resembles early concept art for his helmet design.

Thanks for looking Hookswords, but sadly the resemblance is just a happy coincidence.
