I like them all. On the last one (pepper) the girl isn't fitting into the palette at all. Maybe it's the skintone which is very cool compared to the surroundings and the lightsource which seems to be different than the rest of the image. Try to put some colors from the environment on to her skin/clothing.

The city district is very cool. But for the last ,the face of the girl bugs me a bit.

I really like the last blue zone pic. Its really powerful, and has a great use of color. Im a fan of all protoss pics too. Great job!

Teazr: Thanks alot mate, and yes i totally agree with you. it's quite a major problem with this one that makes the picture unfinished, this is a collaboration between me the environment artist and Jean Park, who did the character design for this one. although in the end we were quite pressed against time, we did manage to have this in at the last 10 mins mark before the march 1 dead line. i feel more time to polish would really help. some of my friends brought up this problem too, but i think it's only wise to sit down with this one for another couple of hours to really finish the look. and bring the colors and contrasts together. thanks, really appreciate it.


spookybabydoll: thank you, i'm glad you like the city district one. i think the thing with that last piece is that we kinda got mixed in between a more simplified style and a relatively realistic style.. and it didn't really work. the line art for the character looked right, the painted version however, lost some of that emotions and feels to it, since we decided to leave the line art out altogether. and believe me you are not the only one who told me this.. hehee... i'll still have to go back to this piece, hope i can push things around and make the face work.. cheers!

Duman : hey thanks!.. The last blue zone is actually one of my first matte paintings, alot of the photos used were taken on the toronto lake shore and on the water. i used some of "resurgere" photo stocks, don't know if you've heard about it. it's free too and great interesting images, not the practical texture stock.. ah ha.. protoss.. starcraft 2 ftw..

well your colors ARE nice. and you seem to control perspective correctly too.
but your volume and anatomy is lacking and that's really giving it away for you.

just focus on your anatomy too and you 'll be better off.
