what a deserted SB... I dunno why, there are really interesting creatures here (the detailful robots and crafts you've made are things I am not really interested in).

the girl's shoulders are far too narrow.

the guy with the birdhead-scythe thing: the colors in the background aren't good for the mood (I personally think this gradient is only for candies, if it has a place somewhere in this world), the sun(?) is too near to the scythe, but the first thing I saw that the main thing (figure+scythe) is too flat. its contrast is too low, though you used black for the tree and the shadow! with some efforts this picture could be much better, I'm sure. I like the idea, the tree, well, the crop is a bit too tight. the scythe is wonderful.
the figure... it's a being below life and death, and somehow I don't care that its anatomy is definitely wrong for a human, but the short arms are a bit disturbing. ofcoz, more neatly rendered hands and feet and head would be better, but I see human anatomy isn't your strong point yet (it's very tough, sure) and I see something in this very picture, I like its feeling and some old woodcut come into my mind...

the creatures are definitely better and really interesting, your imagination is good.

Hey, thought I'd stop by. Thanks for liking my IDW. I usually don't do IDW but I couldn't resist getting that idea out. I'm planning on doing much more with this twisted Wonka. Stay tuned to my SB, there will be more with him eventually.

Your stuff shows alot of imagination. Obviously you are influenced by Lovecraft. Awesome.

I agree that life studies are just the thing you need. Keep drawing whenever you can. Even if the only life studies you can do are objects that are at hand at the time, just draw. Try to keep a sketchbook with you where ever you go and just keep drawing. Another thing that could help is to get some reference photos for things like cloth and anatomy and to just practice from these. The key thing though is to just keep at it.

Here is a link to some really good drawing books. These can help with muscle structure and proportion. Andrew Loomis was a great illustrator and his books are amazing. I suggest starting with Figure Drawing for all it's Worth.

Keep with the lovecraftian creatures. They're cool.

    Keep drawing.

Oh man, I see so much of potential in you. Really, work hard on yourself, study perspective, shading, colors, anatomy and stuff and you'll see how great you could be. I am watching you >
