Wow! Thats a really nice style man. I really like it. No advise from me coz I'm not that good at painting and digital painting etc.
Just admiration for your art and outspoken style at your age.
An update to bring myself up to present times, here are some not so recent doodles, as have been known to occur in my sketchbooks.
Another slightly longer digital one im working on.
some really cool stuff going on here. liking your fresh style. keep on updating

Secound attack on the golemn looking guy, a quick profile thing.
Interesting colour choices on the last two.... Your linework shows alot of confidence, i`d love to see more of your finished works... please :]
I love these forums, everyday i come on here and find something that makes me want to do nothing but sit down and draw. It is a friday, so a small offering tonight.
Oh, and also, im sorry i havent been responding too each of the few posters here individually as it is now apparent to me is the custom on these boards, i promise to start from here on out!
Crits! Im trying to improve my tech'
Clochette: Thank you, I go through phases, awhile back i had decided that style was everything, now im rolling back to worrying about my rendering skills, not really related, ive got a good vibe coming out of your sketchbook!
Toprob: heh
Gloominati: Thats the plan.Nice bun, the dead pallete is my oil pallete of choice, i usually start my paintings in dead pallete like some start in sepia tones.
Mattinian: Thanks, the thing about me is that i havent really ever finished a drawing. Cool enviroments, reminding me that i ought to give it a try sometime, one of these days...
And so that im not caught posting without a piece attached...another...selfportrait?
Back from a short vacation, didnt get much/any drawing done sadly.
Threw this up this evening, not gonna let this sketch post die just yet.
your paintings are inspirational. i love when people can just let marks be marks and let the paint do the talking rather than having to blend all the media away, your color choices are also great, very courageous. i'll be checking back on this book for sure.
great stuff!
RM
Hey, thanks,
here is another wip, goin for a bit of the blending, just to see if i can.
Trying something i was impressed by.
Does anyone know of a sharp/square/blocky kind of brushset for ps?
that last self portrait is really good.
its really rare to see someone at your age doing this kind of work, but it's like you get a head start really
keep it up
Much love and stars for you my man.....Great stuff...especially that portrait ...got me fucking inspired.....too bad I cant draw or paint much theses days.....

Hey there man! I'm very interested in your shapes of the face! Good stripes, but don't you think you should work more on human body? I think you should, try to work more detailed on some parts of your drawings, I think it would be very specific style for you! Thanks for the pictures, and man draw more I want to see more of your scrawls! The self portrait is very good! KEEP GOING!

Rarebit, your stuff is really great! Your linework makes me drool, sir. Your painting skills are also obviously there, but is there a reason your digital works are all so unsaturated? I think they'd benefit greatly from some deeper, darker shadows.

you have a wonderful style so young! i used to be really concerned with the 'style' of my drawing too but now i'm trying to just accept the way i draw and let it develop naturally. looks like you don't have to do that though. ditto to the 'your line work make me drool' comment. ...and i kind of like the low opacity look of your digitals, though it could use a little color with stronger intensity/higher opacity.

pretty dang cool mang.
Thanks to everyone posting, you are too kind!
Clan lord: My art teacher at school suggested working on the selective detail aswell, i havent developed anything to the point where i can play around with that yet though.
Brinkman!: For now, the lack of contrast/intensity im going to blame on the way i go about building up my digital's, i had a similar problem (still do) with my traditional paintings but became abit more successful when i started blocking in my dark darks first, ill try to go at it more directly in the future. I had run into those square brushes before, their uses are very limited though, i wish i had some kind of digi brush that was chisel edged and laid flat against the direction of my line, you know? I wish i had a real paintbrush basically, oh well.
Eskanto: I found when i was taking figure classes on weekends that observational drawing kills style abit, and unreferenced drawing makes the style develop. The further i got away from thinking about constructing my drawings in a certain way, the more stylised and formulated (ick, formulated) my stuff became. Just an observation, everything requires some balance, i think your right in just going with the flow.
Another basic PS question, how do i change the % range of brush size i get relating to pen pressure? Im not sure where the bar is to fiddle with.
I think im gonna start trying some of the community excercises, post those later.
I decided to try drawing from posemaniacs today, i just flipped through the gallery and chose a few to draw from. While i think its definatly better than drawing from a manikin (useless) i felt like it was too easy to really learn from. I kind of blame that on the way i chose to draw them, and the lack of timer. That said, it was fun, ill try it the proper way later to see if i can get it too frustrate me.
The worry dolls are on there to trick my scanner into picking up the lighter pencil lines, i didnt edit them out because i thought they added some humor too the otherwise boring drawings.
I. Love. Your. Style dude!
that self portrait thingy. i want to do stuff just like that!
I really like your Sketchbook. Very loose and nice style.
Just keep at it... I'm looking forward to see more!
Greetings![]()
The creature i painted for sketch of the day, in the one with the cheapy backround i realized that the lightsource was messed up after the fact, so i geuss its a wip untill i get around to fixing it, anyway:
hey you updated again?! you know i can't tell you how it works in ps, cause i'm only familiar with painter. i don't know how different it is, sorrythe way you drew the figure studies were good. they have a good sense of gesture and flowing lines.
Thanks for the kind words,
again!? well, im trying to make it daily.
Semi-finals interview for PA govschool arts program on sunday, going on a sketchbook blitz, hopefully all goes well and ill have plenty of stuff to scan.
Today's meager offerings.
Hi there, welcome to CA! I must say I'm impressed by the advanced style you've developed, yet at this young age. Your sense of colour and form is already strong. Your pencils are confident yet loose, something I'm very fond of myself (although still striving for). I'm hoping you'll produce a final piece, because although your loose and sketchy style is delicious, I'd love to see how far you can go.
Keep up the studies, I'll be having an eye on you!

Some sketchbook stuff from today/yesterday evening.
Some doodles, a faint drawing of a young Spaceman Cramn saying goodbye to his trusted freshnetics technichian and right hand man, some crap posemaniacs stuff, some attempts at dragon designs some friends of mine were talking about this afternoon (i realize that at this point, i have nothing to contribute to the shape of dragons without wandering off the criteria, dragon designs have been raped every which way, i need to become more stylistic perhaps) more doodles (i feel like i can draw intersting profile views of heads, but have trouble putting the same character into frontal views, im not sure how to work that out but to keep drawing.)
great studys, really great!
you are VERY good for such a young age, and in a few years you will become a master.
