    donalfall: Thanks!
Bill: Thanks! It's always a pleasure!
IanE: Thanks! It looks like by the time I get a portfolio done there won't be any newspapers left!
Tigermilk: Thanks! I've been on Iggy kick lately. If you are looking for something to draw I highly recommend him.
erinel: Thanks! That bear kind of surprised me when I did it because, like you said, it is so different. I'm glad you liked it.

And here's a dude with a floating skull for a head. I'm not too confident with these colors. They might be a little too aggressive. Like always crits are welcome.

Eerin: Thanks! I don't feel like I've been doing enough watercolor lately. Maybe this weekend...
WhiteC: Thanks! I never used to use color in my sketch books until I found the Acme Novelty Datebook. It totally changed the way that I approach sketchbookin'.

Those Iggy pics have a definitive Pope(the artist, not the religious figure) feel to 'em, verry kinetic. Swamp Thing one is very cool too, im a little less convinced by the Kirby copy, but hey, you're measuring yourself with the gods there huh? Anyway, keep up the rithym,

I feel a bit pathetic posting without any crits but I just have to chip in and say how awesome your brushwork is. Also really love the colours in that skull image above.

Tyler, man, this is sheer dopeness throughout! The Iggys are great! I think the colors on the skull guy are nice, they set a strange and unexpected mood considering he's a skull man (he reminds me of Inspector Death! You know what they say about great minds ).

Something about the halftone in the Kirby study isn't quite working. I think it may be used too much, it comes off a bit noisy and flattening. Hope that's a helpful crit

    Keep up the ass-kicking!

    -Andy

Holy Moly! It's been a long time since I posted anything! I've been working like crazy on my comic book. I'm told it will be announced at the San Diego Comic Con. Hopefully I'll be able to start posting some sneak peeks soon.

    mike butkus: Thanks!
    Grief: Thanks!
JesArt: The ink control comes from two things. Practice and relaxation. Most of the time it feels like the brush is making all the decisions for me.
walnut: Thanks! I know what you are saying about the Kirby copy. That dude is an explosion of confidence. If you hesitate even a little bit it makes you look like a pussy compared to him.
    cae: Thanks!
    AustenFM: Thanks!
DoubleThink: Thanks! I think you are referring to my doll shelf. There you'll find a Britney Spears doll, a Pee Wee Herman bobble head, a barbie that came in a wheel chair, and a bunch of more awesome shit.
BRINKMAN!: Ha! After I drew the skull dude, I started to see different versions of him everywhere. The crit regarding the halftones is awesome. I think you are totally right. I wonder how it would look if I added more variation to the tone. Right now it's all about 30% grey.

Here's a pretty old one. It's inspired by Harvey Kurtzman's "Corpse on the Imjin". This is when I first started to get a handle on drawing with a brush:
