TASmith: Yea thanks mate when it comes to books i think i have purchased every single book to do with art instruction its just a matter of studying them all.

I had a lot of trouble starting today due to having a couple of bad days the pencil felt as heavy as a brick but by the end of the night i think i finally started to feel better too bad it is now time to go to bed oh well heres a few scribbles.

Heh, looking at old work is always fun/ wrist slittingly embarrassing.

The sense of motion in the figures on this page is nice, and the animals are good too. Maybe start practicing putting clothing on top of your figures. The folds on the gunman are a bit questionable. I thought Bridgman's book on fabric was useful for getting an idea of the basics

aifolx: Cheer mate, thanks for stopin by.

GentleFood3:Thanks i have studied that section but not completely committed to memory so i will probably go over it again among a few other drapery resources i have.

todays uploads, around the last few minutes of work i decided to do some quick hand sketches some actually didn't look too bad for quickies or maybe my judgment gets worse at that time considering i go straight to bed after work, i actually spent most of the night trying to draw free hand perspective cars its a little pet hate of mine that i will conquer eventually dammit and i am not going to post any yet as i am still having some scary major problems but i will offer some crap vehicle thumbnails instead.

Man you've produced a lot of stuff since the last time I've been here! I can see a lot of improvement. You even have stars and everything! Your construction is getting better. Just slow down a little and doublecheck your proportions in the early stages. Ask yourself things like: is the head big enough for the body? is the neck correctly inserted in the torso? These kind of things are really hurting your drawings right now. Also do some research on values. Your light/halftone/shadow separation still isn't working. Take a look at the chapter about light in succesfull drawing from loomis( I hope I'm giving you the correct book). Read the text and copy some of those drawings, observing carefully were he palces the tones and why. You are using the side of your pencil to shade right? try using more of the point to see if your drawings remain cleaner. Keep working hard mate!

Hey, nice to see you got a wacom! Takes a while to figure out the brush settings but its well worth it. The volume of work your churning out is impressive. No crit cause I think you no what needs work. Anyway was wondering were you do life drawing classes? is it in the city or freo? Need to get my ass in to gear and do something like that.

fantasyartist: Hey thanks mate, I assume you have been quite busy yourself, yea your right as usual about proportions and construction and i think thats still my major concern at the moment, i have better understanding of light these days i just don't go all out when rendering quick sketch otherwise they would take way too long, thanks for dropping by and hurry up update your sketchbook already!!.

JCH:Hey mate thanks, I go to a class up my way called Blender art Gallery in Joondalup on Monday night at 7pm and one down at kings St Art Center in the city at 7pm on Tuesday nights this one is a little hard to find so if your interested let me know, it has also become really popular the last month so make sue you get there early to get a good view. There are a few other life drawing places especially in Freo but thats too far for me and i like late ones as i am a night shift worker, if you rock up say hi, I am the kid that turns up wearing all the motorbike gear.
