I've stared at this pic for a while, and even written down the seven sins, but I can't for the life of me figure out which one this is.

Enlighten me, please.

I love the gritty, dark feel of this, but maybe push the values a bit further apart. Right now, the picture as a whole is feeling (just a little) flat.

Yah it's still a work in progress. I'm thinking about doing something a bit different with the background too. This one is sloth.

I agree with the previous comments.

The storytelling is not clear since none of us could tell it is sloth. It's also confusing. He's chained and pierced which suggests imprisonment and torture. Even if he would do something, he's prevented from doing it.

I think that the chains makes sense since sloth is the sin of apathy. Perhaps you could have made him looked more zoned out and less tormented. As the others said the narrative is suffereing a little. The values are flat and I think that it lost something in colouring process especially around the eyes. See if you can bring back some of the shapes from the sketch and focus on the details and textures later. I really like that drawing btw.
