Prophet's Begining

[Prophet of Death]

Hello all,

I've been lurking around the forums for about a year and always wanted to put some of my stuff on. I just got a tablet and now I'm able to post. Very exciting. I'm currently at the University of Iowa working toward a BA in studio art, but my real goal is to become a concept artist. Before I got my tablet I did mostly pencil sketches and a few paintings. Hopefully, i'll get a scanner sometime and share those as well. Going from pencil and paper to digital drawing was a little awkward at first but i think I might be getting the hang of it. Right now, the pics that I posted aren't really my concept stuff since most of them were done with pencil.

I'm just trying to get the hang of everything. Any comments or crits are more than welcome. I just want to get better.

Good work there prophet, so don't worry bout it being dark subject matter, i like it. That last chance piece is looking good, tho i would like to see some more interaction between that characters, at the mo the figure in the background isn't even looking at the victim... ;-)

thanks a lot...and about the dark subject matter...it's kinda what I thrive on...it's easier for me to be inspired by stuff like that rather than colorful things

Cool stuff. Keep workin on that sketch that you want to color and get everything right before you start to color it. Anatomy studies or studies from life would be cool to post. Keep drawing!

The first pic is a digital remake of a drawing I did when I was in highschool. it's not done but this summer is going to be a time for me to really develope my skills and I hope to finish a lot of my work during that period. I am also attempting to redesign the sith guy I drew. I should have a full body shot one of these days.
