Great work, as usual.
Great work, as usual.
Seriously Roostercat get a life cause you can't sculpt! I mean, what's that thing you're standing with- a mosquito? I give you an e for effort but really, this forum is for serious artists. Come back in a few years when you've had some more practice........
Actually I'm in awe dude, really great work as always.
WOW! Spectacular attention to detail in every way! Each figure is amazing and I really love the Kothoga piece!

Sketchbook!
What Roostercat has done is amazing.
He has incorporated all of the best aspects of the full size anamatronic Queen used in Alien2.
Most people do not know that there were some structural differences with the full size Queen, and the 1:4 scale puppet.
The biggest difference is that the full scale Queen was thicker, and more robust. The head of the Full scale Queen also had a more powerful looking face.
So this one is based more on the anamatronic Queen, and is more accurate to what showed up in the closer up shots of the Queen from the film.
If you notice the shots where she looks really big and powerful, fighting the powerloader, then notice the quick, 1 second shot, right before the Queen pulls the loader and Ripley down with her into the airlock, you will see a much smaller, spindley Queen for just a second, and it seems too weak compared to what was shown in the previous shots of the fight.
That was the difference between the 1:4 and 1:1 size Queens.
It is also an issue with a lot of figures on models. This one more accurately reflect the 1:1 anamatronic Queen proportions, which is a very good thing IMHO.

I just finnished my first dino triceratops skull, misely 11cm long and then this thread pops up. T_T
Is all that sculpey and other cheaper clays? How many tons did you buy ?
How long do you work on one? And what are you doing with the models ? Just standing in your house or are they for actual jobs?
Curious to know.
I would love to see some more WIP pictures, not only the finnished pieces (in black and white only as it seems ^^)
