I just feel kinda lost. Every time I think about what I'd eventually want to do (or to correct, what I consider I should be able to do already but I have failed because I'm not doing it), I get this constant fear, like I'm supposed to be ready to do that right tomorrow. Like I know there's never going to be real job opportunities in this country, so I think moving to another country would be a thing to do, but I have been living on my own apartment for barely half a year and I've never set foot to a foreign country (I've never even had a passport) so the thought obviously makes me nervous since I can yet barely handle living on my own in the country I was born in, but then I punish myself for that because it's like I'm supposed to move aboard next week and I should have all of this figured out and ready by now.

It's wealthy, but there's little to none entertainment market in here. There's never been.

Anyway, I think the boys where you're going to land on on earth will be very happy to welcome a viking girl's coming. But I think you have to confront to more obstacles living in a foreign country than living in your motherland, especially in the strange beginning. I don't know what specialists you're talking about, but Scandinavia refers to historical linguistics, which Finnish isn't part of (Swedish talking people are a minority here and we are more or less bi-lingual country). In political terms Finland might be lumped with Scandinavia (though correct term would be either Fennoscandia or Nordic countries), but when it's about about vikings, no, Finland isn't part of Scandinavia.

I love your thread- it's so cute. and I, for one, really like the fan art- if that's any consolation lol. but yeah it can get a bit out of control...

Meanwhile IRL - I moved 1500km from home to find work (though in the same country it's much different from the island I grew up on.) Is it worth it? for me - yes. I can't imagine having a normal job, now that I get paid to do what I love. I went from a town of a thousand to a city of a few million - and it was unnerving and strange, but I like it well enough now (I've been here 7 years.)
Plus- there's lots of online work now-a-days. More opportunities to work freelance- which you can do from anywhere. So keep an eye out for that sort of stuff. I definitely think you'd excel at the online gaming scene.
