nice lip studies! cool man, looking great!
n´EOW is great! amazed by the snow, I always struggle with that…
for the castle, you could make it a bit more complex…and detail it out…just thinking! looking good!

    Happy New Year!

Very nice studies man! The one in post #276 has some hella nice values goin' on!

The facestudies will pay off bigtime as well! You're doing a lot of Hogarth studies, yeah? Sprinkle some Bridgman or loomis on top for a good mix

    Colors seem nice throughout!

    Keep postin' dood!

    lovin' the paintings dude!
one thing, though, that caught my attention - when you draw eyes, especially the lower lid, try not to separate its planes with an outline. rather, try to use values only. as mullins said, pick specific values for the light side (say, anything between 5-10) and specific values for the shadow side (1-5, 1 being black and 10 white). keep the values separate by avoiding mixing values 1-5 in the light side and 5-10 to the shadow side.
I feel like your work needs to be simplified a lot in terms of shape and values...simplifying is a thing I'm struggling with a lot because, ironically, learning to simplify is a very complex process for me.
I recommend the book "The artist's complete guide to drawing the head" by William L. Maughan. it demonstrates how to think of the drawing process more simply, how to use just 4 values to draw convincingly. it also shares tips on the equipment you are recommended to use, how to choose specific drawing paper that has one of the 4 values...how cast shadows are hard, form shadows soft...etc. ah, I'm a lousy writer, I'll just stop here.
    keep going

Hi man, those last two enviros really put a lot of us into real shame. Great work. About the anatomy, well we are all in the same dirt. I'm stuck with arms and I can still remember two years ago, thinking that I was really close and that was going to solve the complete deal in a week. We move slowly but we move, and I can see the progress in here. But hell, it's a long road isn't it?

man, some of the studies from ref are fukking awesome.

Dont forget to study while u r copying instead of rushing through them or just worried about the final product.
The process of study versus the final product of the study are like the engine of the car vs the appearance of the car. If the car looks bad ass but the engine sucks = the car isnt worth much.
I hope I didnt lost u on the examples haha

Good studies! The EOW turned out nice!

The faces that aren't studies seem a bit rushed or not thought through... the rendering is a bit haphazard and whatnot... try to do one of your studies, only from memory after doing it from ref... just to put the same effort of thought into something not reffed Don't know if it helps, though, just a thought

    Keep rockin'!

Those digital still life paintings are really, REALLY sharp. The eow is gorgeous, great balance of cool and warm tones...that shadowed portion of the mountain is just gorgeous. Nice job there, you've obviously been studying! The structure studies of the face are really nice and I think they've helped you. Keep sketching the figure, som of them are looking just a bit stiff. Lovely work. Reminds me just how many studies I'm not doing. Great work.
