The means by which the potato beings of Narpelipoy make their way from place to place across the surface of their home world. Most often the ships will be wind blown, and thus the travellers - many thousands of whom might occupy the structures at any given time - have no real control over where they'll be taken. During sporial periods, however, the ships respond to some unknown and irresistible force, which propels them upwards and outwards through the nepulmium layers of the planet and off into the endless reaches of space. These periodic migrations of the sporing ships must account for the widespread populations of potato beings found throughout the Darpoi nebula.

We may at some time in the future see the Grand Throtpottle engaged in his ceremonial duties, rolling those great big Baloolum Vong balls around the Hallowed Halls of Hoofaffy, and I look forward to that amazing spectacle myself. For the moment, however, we'll have to make do with the sight of a couple of commoner garden Flarks, who are experiencing the sheer unadulterated joy that's felt whenever they roll back the rugs and enter into... "The Dance of the Tattyplangs".

Another quick nonsense piece, produced on Benoit's group board, in response to a young French lad's nifty rendition of the Grand Throtpottle. He'd titled his piece "Lark likes Flarks". Of course, it was just begging for a come back. I love it when drawings come into existence through... I don't know what you might call it. Happenstance...?

Not all fish are shallow minded. Profundus Gumblii, more commonly known to the fisherfolk of the Gimligol islands as the Deep Trench Gumbly, has a capacity to think and to reason on matters that would far transcend the everyday cogitations of most mortal men. As Bodrum Bun once sagely cautioned: 'Cast not your net into the abyss, nor your baited hook into the deep, for those whose minds might soar to the rarest heights lie fathoms far below'.

The piece is roughly 650mm (about 25.5 inches) wide. Sorry I can't dig it out to measure the height, since it's under piles of other artwork and stuff.

Another embossed tile depicting the Burpy Heckpecker bird, unearthed during excavations on the burial mound of Queen Trinkus of Troiligum. Interestingly, a material analysis of this terracotta piece has revealed that it is almost certainly of Chabiri origin, and made from clay extracted from the bed of the Dilmun river.

This is one of the tastier life forms we encountered during our brief stop off on Kerfuffle Foi, the smallest of the three Planky* moons that orbit Nepuck Nole, one of the eight known planets in the Numbotty Nip system. And in case you want to search for its location on your handy star finder charts, Numbotty Nip is an enormous Boptoplasmic^ sun on the outer fringe of the Peligum nebula. Incidentally, (in the unlikely event that you're still with me) for those of you who are always keen to try something new and just that little bit different, the Snarp's flavour, although it's something of an acquired taste, is a little bit like Boglian Mumph meat. It's much more stringy, though, and horrendously hard to chew. We found that it helped to beat the steaks for several hours with big sticks, in order to soften them up a bit, before roasting them in a pungotty pottery kiln, for a couple of hours at cone 6.

*Planky moons: Lunar blobules that mimic the floptropic behaviour of inert, though extremely fast spinning plarpoids.

^Boptoplasmic suns: Stars which will periodically shift their epispheric mantles into a triflobial state, while maintaining a pin particle form of fusion. If this makes no sense to you, but you desperately need to know what it all means, you might want to pick up a copy of Totiplar McGoofty's classic little handbook: "Boptoplasmic suns and other non-conforming bodies"... That'll set you straight in no time.

Last week I was in a book store and I was thinking of you cause I found some books from the Ernest Drake Dragonology collection, and there were beautiful illustrations that seriously remind yours! Did you worked for them? I'm sure you've already answered that question, but I have not the courage to search the answer in the 14 pages of your sketchbook, forgive me!

Though not all of the Pitchporum giants were evilly inclined - indeed, a goodly number of them were wont to extend friendship toward the smaller folk who lived along the Hambandy Delta - some of them were just downright nasty. Brobgol Hoi, smiter of the coastal towns of Gorbalgath, stands as a typical example of this malevolent breed. It was he who was brought tumbling to the ground by Hyplodotus, back in the celebrated year of copper coins, after he had repeatedly terrorised the inhabitants of the Juppertang Plain. For many years thereafter, the women of Hambandy had sung of Brobgol's defeat, and of how Hyplodotus had severed his great, ugly head and hauled it upon a sledge unto the city gates of Narboly, whereupon the people had hit it with sticks and the children climbed upon it. The saying remains to this day: "Brobgol's head in Narboly lies, where children poked out both his eyes".
