    Nice work man. The contrasts between light and dark are coming along really well.

    all i can say is start w/ your lightest light then just continue to build up over that, maybe try incorporating some things like conte crayon or charcoal to help bring out more dark.

    Congratulations on being...20? xD How's it feel?

    Anyway, jumping over for a thanks for posting, and to comment on your own work. It seems nice, and I like the dummy staring out the window xD

    The life study there is pretty nice. What you can always do is push it over to photoshop and change the brightness/contrast on it.

    I heard that charcoal does not mix with graphite, so I don't know how that will work out for you xD

    The hand at the back of the head (last study pic you have thus far) is a little off. Well, the.... finger next to the thumb? Is that the index finger? The index finger is looking a little odd I think xD

    Anyway, enjoy the rest of your birthday and keep on grinding

    The skull half of your ceramic portrait is beautiful (I like the gray lines against white) . I'm just wondering why the flesh half lacks teeth/tongue. Was that artistic choice?

    thanks, i like to experiment with different styles, it makes things more interesting for me, sticking to one thing seems to bold and boring. i started out as a novice once but i kept pushing myself everyday to do a drawings or some kind of art.
    {amoolie}
    thanks, umm it was a self portait and its kinda embarassing but i do have that teeth gone lol. and tongue i really couldnt get inside since it was already hard and greenware stage. Everybody was doing other famous people just regular but i wanted to do something different and decided to tear half of my face off. i guess the true beauty lies beneath the skin. like judging a book by its cover.

    Nice range of works here - not so sure about the skull though. U should try work on some tonal studies in your drawings - should help to improve them even more

    Love the studies you're doing - the skull looks surreal, something i've always wanted to do is model some of my ideas. Keep going

    lol yea it is kinda weird. the hair and the facial part i had to rush through because it had a due date, the skeletal part of the head took me about 2 weeks to finish, i had to use a reference from a real skull.
    {JCH}
    thanks for stopping by my sketchbook, yes im working on drawing my anatomy and currently studying the whole human body. thanks for keeping me motivated.

    thanks for the comment, currently im working on my shades and lights. but thats all i can say on my part of drawing.

    thanks for the comment, yes im into surrealism, and experimenting with all different styles of art and different areas of art. you should try modeling some of your ideas on paper and see how that works out for ya.

    Hi l0stinth0ughts, thanks for comment.
    The recent post have shown improvement. Nice study of light, I don't think you have to worry about the detail too much, though it does make the drawing more beautiful. Yet I think it's worthwhile to pay more attention on seeing the figure as a whole, which is the trap I constantly fall into it.
    It should always be bore in one's mind that he must be responsible for his life........

    I see that you've put a lot of time it that last one , 1h you should do in a hower about 100-200 drawings , quick sketches , and see witch ones you like ,and where you have problems , that way when you will draw a 1 h picture it will become more spectacular. In this one you have some value problems , specially on the face, you should do some shadow studies just with a black marker , no pencil , no pen , draw just the shadows on a paper. Keep drawing , keep posting , see ya in a few posts

    {flamable}
    thanks but i dont think speed rushing anything will help anything lol, i take my time and see what values go where and which darks i can use. but lately ive been having problems trying to get the darkest the dark, cuz my 6b pencil can only go that dark. so i was thinking of using charcoal instead or paint. but ill get around to it, thank you again for the comment ill keep posting.
    {m4rc}
    thanks for the comment and motivation, and i think i did level up in shading lol.
