Great start, very nice digitals, especially the portraits. Its good that your drawing from life and working from imagination. Sketches of your girlfriend are great, they're really expressive. Keep on going my friend, its only a matter of time.
    Exon needs your critique!

    Hi Kojot
Very nice studies, particularly the second one of your girlfriend in post 30, it's really beautiful

Also just wanted to thank you for the link you gave Justin Beckett for the Fred Fixler website, I've been reading it all morning, great advice. Thanks again.

That's some serious improvement since the start of this thread, man. I like the skulls. I don't have any valuable comment to offer as it looks to me that you know what to do. And I don't know a thing about charcoals.
Oh, wait, I just noticed you leave out hands in your drawings. Hands are hard, I know, I hate them too. But they exist, so there's nothing we can do, right? Gotta learn how to draw them.

    Keep it up.
It doesn't cost You much to leave a comment in my sketchbook, and it can help me a lot.

so much work in here, took me forever to load
you are good man, hard worker. It will pay off, for sure. Keep working on these studies.
It's good you started on facial expressions. So far all the faces are looking slightly the same (eyebrows, eyes and mouth). That's the trickiest thing to do. Just keep working!
    Cheers!

Hello! The drawings in post 38 show some good things. Are you able to draw figures from life ? (live models) ? I think doing that and working on drawing abstract shapes first. google Andrew Loomis and download his books ( free on the web).. look up Glenn Orbik as well..

    Keep drawing!

Nice studies. the newest anatomy studies are looking sweet. Try to think of shapes when you copy something - as if you cut out the image or certain parts of it with a scissors. Are you drawing the exact same shape, do the angles match? if you think about shapes alone, the image will build itself.
