Hello
First...you seem to have an idea, what you want to do! To get there you need to put more love to your details...right now this piece looks like a work in progress ( =WIP ) . I can still see some brushstrokes there. Is this a city on the top of this hill? If yes, so the trees to the sides are bigger than this city?
Use the right colors to show whats most important and whats not...
PRACTISE,PRACTISE,PRACTISE,PRACTISE,PRACTISE!!!
I hope this helps a bit.....
You forgot the atmospheric haze! The water vapor in the air that makes thing far away all misty...
If you want a really good view of how light, the atmosphere, water reflections and all affect a landscape, I suggest you go and download the (free) program called Terragen. It simulates real-life conditions. Should be useful.
@Thujon: Thank you for review)
@DBI.ZnT: Thank you too, I will check the program.
Always have this atmospheric problem and proportion problems, they re little but sometimes / mostly for me imposible to see easily.
Also I have an idea in the beginning then it goes away in the middle of the work, yes it needs some serious focus. Thanks again.
Something that might be useful... when i looked at the thumbnail, I thought it looked great - composition and tone, etc. I was surprised by how loose and impressionistic the larger version was. (no bad thing) As a digital piece, I'd be interested to see what would happen if you kept the same looseness, but worked at a much tighter magnification with smaller brushes. The big problem would be keeping everything a unified whole without being able to see the entire canvas.
