Digging that last abstract, has to be my favourite of the ones you've done so far.

Glad to hear it rubba ... I hope this one shocks and rocks you too.

I call this piece the riot dance. In Athens of december 2008 i saw various videos of the rioting taking place. One reason was the death of a innocent young man who was killed by a cop. Im sure many othe reasons attest to the most recent riots. Most likely the worldly economic downfall. I expect soon other nations will be joining in this dance. If you havent seen any of the videos yet you should go look them up. Shape sifted ... This is the kind of work i find andrew jones style to be great to work in.

    Speed paint in post #61--

I ike the concept of th rays of light that you see in the shadows, but I think it would be better if you made it clearer where they were coming from, the sky and clouds just don't seem to fit it. I really love the bark texture, and spotty-leaf texture, although it seems a tiny bit at odds with the stright and plain textures everywhere else, which are the textures I usually think of in a "speed paint". While the other textures might be a little off in the scene (it could just be my odd perception, too) I'm AMAZED you got that much detail into a speed paint. Good job!

    Speed paint in post #62--

I feel like you did a better job making the leafy-spotty texture fit in here. I also like how it becomes blurry the farther off you go, good detail. The close-up water seems a bit off and too liney, but it IS a speed-paint, and you nailed the further away water.

    Abstract/tree in post #63--

This is really cool. I love the patterns and the textures. The most interesting part, which I can't decide if I like or not (but it's creepy either way) is the "face" or "person" I see under the roots. They look like they have three flowers for eyes... What were you going for there? Is it actually supposed to be a person, or is my imagination running wild?

    Mushroom in post #64--

Again, cool patters. I'm getting jealous of whatever tools you're using, that's some cool stuff.

    Speed paint in post #66--

Oooh, this one is nice. It doesn't really look much like a speed paint at all (that's supposed to be a compliment, there!). I really like all the patterns/textures involved. The only thing I might change is to make the clouds more blended, and less distinct. Great job!

    One in post #68--

That IS really cool. How did you achieve that effect? It's really cool, however you did it. I like it alot. I could nit-pick, but it's pretty dang good!

....I'll critique more later. I'm too lazy right now. xD

Long time, no post! (Well, in reguards to me posting in your sketchbook, anyways). I'm really liking what I'm seeing! I like how the sea horse in post 100 is different from your normal style of things, I think it turned out well and that it's good to branch out and exparament. One thing I think could be better about it is the background, and some of it's fins that aren't towards the viewer; they seem to be in a different style.

I'm absolutely amazed that you did the painting in post 101 in only ten minutes; you're really getting the hang of the tools, it seems like! In the 102 picture, I think the butterflies should have been done differently... Maybe brighter colors, to emphasise them better? My initial thought was that the ones in th sky were birds, I had to stop a second and wonder at their odd shape. They're too big for the distance they seem to be at, they should be smaller. That being said, I think your clouds turned out really, really well. They're very convincing!

Skipping ahead a bit, I think your bird in 106 is (dare I use this word? ) adorable. I love how you did it's face and feathers, though I think the wings should fold against it a bit differently, and have the feathers shaded a little more (while hopefully still keeping the style that I love about it!). I would say that while I think as a piece it's something I love, I think as a concept it's lacking. Here's why. From the picture, you can't tell how big it is, to me it looks more chicken-sized then something rideable. For a concept, I'd say that you'd want to stick a person in there for size comparison, show it from a few different views, and exparament with gear more-- With coloring as a secondary priority. I'd actually love to see more on it, because while lacking as a concept, I -love- how it turned out as a piece.

I'm getting lazy, but I'd like to say I like the style/texture on the picture in post 111, and that the warrior in 108 seems very cool, although not your usual topic matter-- You tend to post mostly enviroments. I'd love to see more of the warriors, though. Landscapes at a glance are good, some elements of them are photo-realistic while others say "digital painting" both of which are fine, depending on what you're going for.

I will try to come and critique more, when you stick more things up! I'd love if you could drop by my sketchbook, too. I'm trying some feeble attempts at digital art, with the limited tools avaliable to me, and I'd love advice from you on how to advance, what tools/techniques you recommend, etc.

It's a strange color selection, but it works well. And it's a nice contrast between the more traditional, raw feeling of the land area versus the much smoother look of under the water. It's a really nice piece.
If you have the time, please stop by my sketchbook, Chock Full o'Nuts.
I would appreciate any advice or critiques.
