Fantastic work! I really like the texture that you're putting into his head so far. I don't know much about the 3D modelling, what application are you using? Also, how much time would you guess has gone into this guy? Thanks a lot, and keep us updated!

mmm... I don't know how much time for sure, but I guess that less than 6 hours
the program is ZBrush
really cool idea, all your 3d stuff is pretty amazing. the only thing thats throwing me off is the placement of the back legs, they look close together, like they arent holding any weight.
I get what you mean, I've been thinking about that
here it goes another image (updated)

Impressing
This beast looks very heavy with all its massive body.
Ooh More renders please :-)
Bye
I think he should have thick "dino" tail one the back for balance, or make the animal body bigger. just imagine if he tries to bend forward. Besides, it would look cool.![]()
I'm thinking about to add more weight on the back, for that pose I think is ok, but I agree that could be a problem if he bend forward... just a little of balance...
not sure what colors should I use, when I see him I think in elephants, rhinos...
any suggestions?

I looks freeking awesome overall. My only suggestion is to give him an extra set of pecks for the bottom arms. Or at least tie some the the muscles from the lower shoulder into the current pecks.

I love all the small details in this, the weight of the guy looks very impressive, but for a creature that weighs so much wouldn't there be more downwards pressure on his paw like feet?
On a side note the texture and color suit him well![]()
update:
some armour plates:
_
Good looking sculpt, and a very "Harryhausen-esque" creature (the stance is very evocative of his work). In some of the earlier pics it looked as if the detail was starting to overwhelm the unity of the overall form; in the last image it works better. But there's definitley an imbalance between the torso and quadrupedal parts, too much mass forward, almost beyond the apparent center of balance, 'specially if it leans forward by any amount.
The latest pic also seems to lose a lot of the sense of scale the earlier renders conveyed, more like a fair-sized tabletop model than an enormous beast. Maybe its just the higher camera angle and more diffuse lighting.

Thanks!
4 arms and 4 legs...hmm...and if you give to him 2 swards and two shields and all his body is covered by armor...it will be a Battle Machine, muahaha!!! ^__^
And now about the model...very impressive ZBrush creature, i think, he has a big future!
very nice is this all ZBrush or did you use an external
creature is done in ZB, texture in Bodypaint3D, render and accesories in 3DSMAX

wow! this is so awesome! i was like "HOLY SHIT" haha
the only one thing i think is you should make the cloth in the front more rugged (maybe couple holes here and there and make it stained most likely in blood of those who dared to come across this creature!) so that it fits the whole texture of the whole creature
