Cool stuff! Your work always has a neat "art nouveau" look to it.
No real critiques right now... Just keep at it.
Hey, feller. I'm back again.
I can't believe how well your paintings are going. Must say, that painting you did after my last comment really caught my attention. I have a thing for bizzare and exotic clothes. ;D
Most people I see who are line focused really struggle with painting decently. I really like the way your experiment with colours. I see a lot of combinations I don't see too often. (Like on your chow entry) it'll be interesting how your painting style develops.
Either way, great stuff. I wish I could come up with critiquessssssssss.
syrella: I discovered mucha (and most of art nouveau) very late and had just geared toward that style all my lifecool stuff. finding out about mucha was like christmas on google
Naidy: well it's partly because I learnt to paint some... -ish.. but way back and since have had excuses not to. so not really 0 to this in a few weeks. reptile brain remembers.
I've put ruanjiajia's pieces up as my long-term opponents. he's prolly my fav contemporary artist. started mindlessly on this piece, turned out a bit weird.
less talk more action tomorrow.

Nice to see some of your work again!
Hey, nice work. I'm really digging those lines. Some of them give off almost a classical vibe for some reason. I don't know how to explain it.
I like your stuff man, looking forward to seeing more.![]()

baps: my pencil is refuled! *bow*
kai: ahr don't use that word. at age 8 or 9 I wasn't as good as most children in my class or surroundings. When I could only draw really fugly manga:ish dudes with long hair and swords a same aged girl I knew painted a fantastic painting in watercolour of our horse. I couldn't cope with that and lost the drive... then I drew more. and generally I just found drawing to be hugely engaging after playing the first games with good character art/renderings and have been drawing more often than socialising ever since. most people just haven't drawn as many drawings as I have. that aside. dude you're rather awesome yourself! :E keep those speed paints and sculpts ++ coming!
started at a realist art school (www.faoablog.com). 9-7 most days. that's why it's been a while and not much done outside of that which makes me understand values (atm) exponentially better day by day but looks just as boring as bargue studies and unshaded model drawings are x) (surprisingly fun to do though)... doubtful if the same time spent monkeying around in photoshop with full colours or values wouldn't teach me as much out of the potentially 10 times faster medium of the computer but sure is a bliss having a structured weekday and I'm not drawing much less out of mind than before now anyways and I'm getting the nude models and anatomy class I need to progress... haven't really developed much since 2009 and that smarts.

there's composition class on wednesdays but not for first years... >:( although the students bring out their rulers and get all technical the teacher is pretty much doing concept art enviro speed-paints (in oil) in there (and he likes the typical medieval settings of fantasy art). I'ma sit outside and do my own composition class in silent protest/progress for this year x)

The compositions you make are really nice. Congrats with the school too. The level of the content on the blog is ridiculous! Is that work of students? And is it all from Italy or do they paint like that in the Swedish studio too? :p
your line works are remarkable from anatomy to landscape wow, just wow. you inspire me.
Yessss an update Erik! I love that life drawing portrait, screw the model's actual appearance..Its more fun to portray the model as something out of this world!
