nice sketch man, I really enjoy the dynamic pose! Only thing I would change is the human leg, it seems to be in the wrong angle.

DeKal: Appreciate it mang! and shyste (to your response to my comment in your SB) I DO need to start hitting up some finishes vs. just the sketches... just love the initial phase of creating a tad more than the final buffing...

heres a super armored "guardsman" character... as I stroll towards the finished' zone, the engravings and metallic surfaces would really make this pop, but I just concepted out the main forms/armor for this stage....

Just wondering, your sketch book says babes.. where are the babes? I love your male characters but lets see some tits and arse.. lol well not nude but a female character in costume would be swell. =]

ResidentSamurai357: yeah... I know.... gunna have to remedy that shortly!

    phoenicorn:

alrighty, been awhile.... but that dont mean I havent been keeping the sketch flowin':

heres some selected pics straight from yea ole canson sketchbook... pen and ink and some acrylic action... funny thing is that Ill be flipping through my sketch and as its all ink..... coupled with the nature of a sb and failed experiments and the like.... I now just black em' out and then paint ontop!!! my default is a skull..... death of bad sketch and birth of death sketch!!!

but theres a leyendecker study.... some old dude... then just some mean ole space marineish faces and couple of sm power armor takes....

the last is my lion bodied brosef in the stages of rendering... I put in about a hour on my lunch breaks... been about 3 sessions or so now....

    yeah yeah!

Your recent black and whites are looking pretty nice. You have a good sense of tone. You should get brave and start squeezing some color pieces back into your sketchbook. Try to start full color, though, instead of applying color over the grey scale.

All of your drawings have such power. It is all Great, but my favorite is the skull. The asymmetry gives it a lot.
Thanks for posting your work, hope to see more.

    camara: why thankyou

KelsM: true true.... but shyste, I love the grayscale...

    Hive_minD:

Ash888: skulls are good times always! glad you like!

OmertA: gracias! and no, I just came up with the name from "illusion" type imagery....

Borilius: YEEEEAH! an honor it is to be rewarded by such a praiseworthy peer!

southparx: glad you liked that inquisitor piece.... and yes, I should.

    julkillo: :

Dan Valkar: Yup, I do have to start busting out some portfolio worthy finished pieces.... Youll see something in the finished section soon.....

    destinyapocalypse: thankyou!

    Grafguy:

Been awhile... shyste! no excuses, just distracted with slackerage. I got to get this SB on a regular cycle to start really cranking out the production line as I do indeed want to make a living at it and am getting tired of my lethargic ways foshizzzzz. Any and all help including just a good ole well placed kick in the tookeye will be appreciated!

so heres just a lil bleary eyed J. Connelly sketch w/chalk brush to get warmed up: ~1hr...

Kick ass drawings! The anatomy of each creature from your SB is well studyed, and the style is just amazing (the style reminds me the Blizzard concepts of Warcraft)! Anyway, try to put enviro on the lone character drawings... just keep pushing I like your SB!
