Yo, Smoke, from one fellow slacker to another, lookin forward to your upcoming stuff. Im diggin your analog colorwork and the digital black and white is dope. also lookin forward to seein how you deal with droppin color in those digi's. Im messing with the whole B&W underpainting deal these days too, tryin to keep em from being muddy, fuzzy and oddly saturated...
Kroger: To Slackerage, may all fellow procrastinators, feet draggers and last minute men celebrate the sparks of genius that are born from the final and well placed boot kick(s)! ahem....But thanks, I peeped your sketch well before you graced mine, and I was thoroughly impressed but I mustve been sipping a cup of weak sauce that day since I didnt comment to say so! None the less, awesome work, and I feel honored that you checked mine. I gotta get some vehicle concepts under my wing fosho...
Heres the finished chow, i played around with having a substantial background but later decided to toss it in lieu of the fresh white backdrop contrast!... and gasp! color!!! although I wish I wouldve gave myself more time to experiment with some saturation/subtle tones.... but as always: wouldve couldve shouldve....
...
sleep beckons....
I love that Chow 101 piece, pulling off all that movement and emotion in a dual layer graphic is awesome. It's also really nice to be able to see your thought process and the closeup of the face. Even without color it's a really strong piece. It's definitely my fav of that Chow session.
Killer work man, definitely feeling your style, especially that centaur. You cant be "dissapearing" from the art world with those skills. Hope youre enjoyin the nor cal weather (<--hometown!) and keep this badboy updated!
Chellete: Thanks!![]()
HellTaxi: will do man. Thanks for the support.
with the extension for the evil genie, I went ahead put a bit more polish on it... hope I make advanced this time![]()
The centaur from post 15 (I think) is just awesome! Did you ever finish rendering it? Can we see it if you did?
I love how a lot of your work uses black, white and red for its colors. Very classic design colors. Your stuff is great. Thanks for sharing!
Great stuff!
...i only wish I had half the amount of creativity you have... fantastic stuff.
snubbed: on my to do list. Ill definately get back to it, so keep checking back.and thanks for the compliment!
Jorge Cecov: why thank you!
fuzzybluenuke: Youre much too kind, but Ill try to keep my creative's coming in full force. Ive got plenty to improve upon thats fosho. Thanks for checkin the SB and laying down some praise; always feels good.
alright, I think its good practice to draw directly from movies as theyre framed and composed perfectly and IN MOTION...which translates to a multitude of illustration pieces....err... stills.... and along those lines, I made some translations of my own. These are from "DEATH SENTENCE".... shootem up movie.... kevin bacon.... figure I can strengthen my illustrations/concepts via some good ole black and white study. Silhouettes and simplification and the like... annnd at the tail end just another quick study, liked the girls features and thought Id give an odd perspective quicky a go..
couple more...
whoa, that girl in the last post is really well rendered! you should do stuff like that more often, it's really nice!

really cool concepts you have going on here. your pencils are well done. i'd suggest to continue studying anatomy, especially the hands. and try and emphasis contrast more in your digis. keep it up definitely wanna see more.
To live is to create, to create is to live. Without art and music, I do not know how I would get by in my day to day life.
