Nice stuff. I wasn't actually aware of the fact that you're a girl so I assumed that the caterpillar was humping the plant ... because guys drawing things humping other things...happens all the timethe fact you're a girl gives it a bit of a twist

Your works are amazing... I could learn a thing or two from you!
I do love how everything you paint looks dewy and moist. Skin, eyes, the caterpillar... it has a lifelike quality that is difficult to achieve the way you light your scenes, objects and characters. Well done.
The Catterpillar pic is getting seriosly cool! Love the studies too!!

Really nice Caterpillar and studies
Keep it up!!
The caterpillar piece is amazing, however I've got some critiques to it.
-The composition is a lot better no that you've made the canvas smaller. Ther are still those points of light in the mushroom that distract the attention from the girl. The piece should focus in the dialogue between the caterpillar and the girl. I think the piece will improve a lot when you render her more.
Also, you could work on the shape of the mushroom and how lights and shadows interact, to make it look less plain. The jelly look of the underside, yellow part looks good, but there are some weird light gradations, especially on the place where the caterpillar is resting.
Anyway, this is turning out into a great piece! Keep at it![]()
Teundeboer : Thank you very much! I switched to the tiny feet, I do think it looks much better

And would you, Would you carry the torch for me?
Oh, those studies are just killer. I love that brush. Is it some kinda cloth texture, or are you using a number of different brushes?
it turned out amazing

Tasty. I love that texture.
Criminently! That's good!
Just heard this today: étude is French for study. Musically it means a study, of considerable difficulty, designed to provide practice material for perfecting a particular technical skill.
Chopin and many other composer's études are very popular when performed on stage and the compositional elements have influenced all kinds of composers.
IMHO your "study" is a work of art.

These studies are pretty goddarn accurate and cool to look at.
I love the result of the catterpillar piece, personally think these feet look way better, glad you gave my idea a shot
Can't wait to see the other painting u were working at as u said a few updates ago.
Sharkcellar: Thank you!
Jephyr X: Thank you so much!
Teundeboer: Yea it does look much better with the teeny tiny feet, thanks again!I'll post the other painting soon, once I have it in a good place...
I've been a bit sick so no updates for a while. Here's a quick one I did for the Massive Black Transient Man Twitter Challenge.
I found out about the contest a day before it was due and I just really wanted to send something in. I'm a huge fan of Transient Man and it was a lot of fun to work on this, even if it is (very) rushed.
Transient Man always reminded me of the Aghoris we have here in India ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aghori). My character is a symbiote-oracle Aghori of sorts.
I had done a much more thorough job on the body and lost it in a powercutI really should get a script that saved every 5 mins.
