Offlineonline: Thanks for dropping by, it's a good encouragement to see your comment even if you don't have much advice.![]()
Blondebeard: Thanks man! I don't feel very confident in color so it's nice to hear that you think it's looking good.
Gah, I haven't been doing nearly enough lately! That's gonna change.
This mornings study and one from another random day.
More stuff.
Very nice studies! I am not the one to give critique, but maybe you would take those studies a bit farther and refine them more? The problem with studies is that with every hour spent you learn something new. Like in the streching guy you've overall feeling well, but you could look for more subtleness on skintones. And be careful with proportion. I think you're not taking your time on these and rushing things up. Remember that more careful observation is easier to remember.
Best! Keep them coming!
Artozi: Thanks a lot for stopping by my sketchbook, I really appreciate any honest critique of my work and any ideas for improvement. I'll definitely work towards improving in the areas you mentioned.

Ahh! It's been to long since I've posted in here. I have been working though. Here's a personal illustration I just finished recently. I'm really trying to push and do more finished and complete pieces and less sketchy things.
A quick color study. Also messing around with some brushes.

Hey Swamp - saw your post in the % thread. You have a lot of potential and a really good start on some stuff (the figures in public are outstanding). I would say stick to traditional media for now though - it looks like you are using a lot of photo ref for your digital sketches - not really getting a good sense of light and color in those (mainly because photos don't capture light and color well). You'd be better off just going with traditional painting media from life with those. Anyway - just wanted to say great job...just get back to basics and you'll really start to move.
What would Caravaggio do?
