MY CAMERA IS BROKEN DDDD8> I only had it for like... A little bit. I've been doing 938457834 figure drawings and gesture sketches from the figure class I've been taking in nyc but I won't be able to show it till I get that bad boy up and working again.

SO IN THE MEAN TIME - Doodles and what not and so on. Getting my portfolio ready at the same time so alot of my junk is held up in school.

    jedininjaman - Thank you!

    Truckerman - *totally PMed you*

Dannelf- - Thanks xD I get a lot of my inspiration from the people I met in Russia. The colored character sketch in my last post is actually a version of my friend Goblin who lives there.

    Hi darling,

The lineart you posted on DA is delicious. I kinda want to take that dare and color it, but I need HI REZ GOODNESSSSS and frankly I don't have time so poo. Your patience astounds me sometimes. *sniff* SHE GROWS UP SO FASSSTTT DX

Ah like the zombie baby Eevee squirrels of doom. The one in front looks like he wants to eat my face, but the ickle one on the other's back is adorable. Maybe they only want to eat me when they get older. Lulz.

Stop winning so damn much. And comment on my SB before it fades into the obscurity of page 2. ARrararrararar Are you free this weekend? Drivers ed is done.

    THAT IS ALL.

That's a nice one Danuh, read your comments on the animation forum. Your opinion means a lot to me. Your approach to drawing is well suited to animation. Keep it going!

    Hey man.

Got some great stuff going on here.
You definitely seem to be a hard worker, so art school should be no problem for you.

You've got some unique things but also some really cliched things, be careful with those.

Keep drawing, keep studying from life.

    cout<mecha - Thank you!
HunterKiller_ - Thanks for the input. Sometimes the only way to get me out of a slump is for me to draw something completely cliche'd and done 903578934759 times.
But I'll keep an eye out for that kinda stuff in the future nevertheless ;D

that coloured figure further up is nice, and the cluttered image at the top is cool. I guess you could start defining the better ideas in your sketches, picking them out and developing them further, that's a skill that takes a lot of practice, ya know, picking out ya best bits, something I'm shite at. Ah well just a thought, but i likes ya stuff anyway.

My hands are too cold to draw

Found my camera so here are a few of many figure studies from the past two months (I'll have more up later) - and an entire collage of gesture drawings. When I submit gestures as a part of my portfolio I don't want just one page with like.. FOUR PEOPLE- I want em all- er- most of em >__>; *had to make some sacrifices*

Under that is a color study; nothing really thought about when I made this I just wanted to test out my gauche skills (I can never remember how to spell that crap). And under THAT is a drawing I did for this freshman I know. It was her birthday and she likes the animemanga like woah so I felt like being nice. hurhur.

Ah, also are some photos of me nd my friend Carlen battle drawing on a white board *I'm not actually in there lolz* aaannnnddd one of the teachers at my school who dressed up as Sarah Palin for halloween. I thought that was pretty great.

I'll feel like scanning my sketchbook someday.

My hands are still too cold to draw

The rest of the figures I've done w/ my crappy little camera. Sorry, some of the pics here were taken at weird angles because I was in sort of a rush.

My figures still aren't the best (for example I see now that I have the tendency to draw wrists and ankles too thin) but at least I know what to watch out for next time.

    OH HAY GUESS WHAT ELSE?
I'm finally getting glasses after I dropped mine in a river HALF A YEAR AGO.

    Thumbs up

Cool new work Danuh, looks like you are getting busy in the art department. So what do you think about your gestures? Are they letting you draw live models in class?

Congratz on those glasses, I've worn them my whole life. Oh and that picture, I can smell the high school on that chalk board. Hope your having fun!

cout<mecha - No naked models in highschool sadly xD I've had fun with em though. Every saturday I spend 30$ on a train ticket to nyc to take a figure drawing class where there ARE live models. We only have 2 more sessions for this semester though ;A; I wish there was one nearby.

    I hate to blame my lack of anatomical awareness on this but maybe I'll improve more once I get my vision back xD;;

    veteran's day off

    NO SCHOOL
So here are a few pages from my actual sketchbook. I haven't drawn too much in their lately because of larger projects (such as the band concert poster, RISD requirements, etc.) DD:

Wow at first I didn't think I was improving at all in the past year but looking back at my first few posts on CA at least I got out of that "pseudo-anime-whateverthehell" style that was.

    Comments and critiques always welcome

This is what I get for not being around CA as much as I should. I'm going to remedy that.

You've seriously grown from the last time I checked up on you. I wish I had as much creativity as you do. I wish I had something to critique upon but I can't think of anything at the moment. Keep it up.

You are amazing...I'm so jealous >.>
I had a question about your black and white pen pieces...
First, what type of pen and paper do you use?
And second, how long do you usually take on them? So much detail...
    Much thanks ^^

    bahne- Thank you!

Enydimone- Thank you xD I've been working my ass off this year. Huzzah improvement!

    Cavywolf- For almost all of my linework I use copics and microns on either bristol paper or matte board (I love that stuff). I rarely use actual ink just because I have a horrible time with the splatter from the quill xD;;

    Black Friday - Gray Saturday?

Just postin' summor stuff as I swish by the weekend.

Clown face started out as a self portrait but I got bored with the skin tones. About halfway through she looked scarily like Ronald McDonald.
