Nice work here! You seem like a pen & ink kind of guy. I love pen & ink myself (or just black and white images) and I don't get enough time to work on them myself. I've only looked at the last 2 pages of your stuff so thats all I'm going off of here but what I see is lots of imaginative work and not much studying from life. If a cartoony/comic book look is what you are going for, thats fine, but practicing your pen & ink work from life will help a lot. I'd also get some of the material of some of the pen & ink artists out there. Check out some Bernie Wrightson's pen & ink work as well as some of Frank Frazetta's stuff. Another excellent source for just black and white imagery done really really well is Gustave Dore. His work is pure genius. Look at their work and do some copies and then apply that knowledge to your own work. It will really help boost your own skills.

Love the the comic book stuff you were working on as well. Those panels read well!

Mr.Pryminista - thanks! Everything you said is right. I fall between two horses a lot, not working hard enough on the realism to go that way and not developing the comic book stuff enough to go that way. There's not a lot of opportunity around here for working on realism so I really should just lean fully into the comic styles fully I guess. I've been trying to find a happy medium, but y'know. Also the teenage years of copying Manga without a solid background on the fundamentals still effect me years later.

I'm finally about to get a new computer next week after 8 years of basically being behind the curve, so everything is going to improve!

Good update, sketch has good flow. That left upper arm (not the one with the sword) looks
to big though, compared to the lower part of the arm,even if its cloth. Also i'm getting a
weird vibe when i'm looking at her jawline.

Just some SB pages. I was looking at a runner about to start a race for Catwoman, but then I fluffed the anatomy by getting distracted... her butt should be more to the left of the picture. It was meant to be her "getting ready to pounce", not "presenting to Batman", but sometimes you mess it up.

Sketches from down the Pub Scrawl tonight, it was fun. I'm copying some comic book artists I admire recently, this is a Samurai by Sergio Toppi.

I tried out to get a shot at illustrating a kid's book you guys. I didn't get the gig. Lot of hours gone... I may post some of the work ups here.

Well, I did it you guys - I just ruined my self-portrait for self portrait day. I might wrestle another out of myself before the day is completely over, I suppose... it might happen.

Is this attachment manager working? I tried to do something over in P.O.W.! but it all just vanished afterwards. Let's find out!
