    Androno's sketchbook

    Hello everyone!

My name is Alexander Dochkin, and I'm really interesting in creating concept artworks.
I'd like to start this sketchbook to record my improvements and really push myself to studying of basics, anatomy, color, light etc. I'd like to practice working more with not digital tools as well, because have serious problems using pencils, markers etc.

So, let's start with couple of oldies studies, that I did referencing from movies and photos. Each was about 30-45 minutes.
Will try to come up with some new stuff as soon as I can!

Any critique and comments are very appreciated!

P.S. Feel free to check out my blog, too!

My first steps trying to improve my figure/anatomy drawing and also my skills in traditional media.
Some clumsy mannikin frame. I use Loomis's book for that.

nice studies alexander,I would reccomend doing in tandem with color studies some value studies(especially from life).
also before studying anatomy practice construction and manikins.

Really nice paintings! For figure studies, I would recommend trying a bunch of different poses rather than drawing the same thing over and over again. Repeating the same drawing improves muscle memory, but drawing the same object in a different way, or different perspective will help you understand the form of it in 3d space.
