REPLY! PLZ!!!

Wow, your work is coming along very nicely. A certain improvement from where you began. Keep it up for sure!! As far as the replies go, you shouldn't be bothered by so few of them. I'm not a fan of sketchbooks with a huge amount of pointless responses interspersed with good art. And this way, it's easy for you (and others) to see your progress.
You know, someone who seems to enjoy drawing so much yet claims they will never study art is outrageous. This world needs more artists anyhow.
Hey funkdafide... I think you're right, "pointless responces",,, I don´t want them anymore
today I've got nothing interesting to show, just ugly doodles... but you now,,, is my daily sb
cheers!
btw, do you know how to put an attached image in the first post?
something ...
(i think is out of proportions)
Hey Clodioz!!
Looking good man! U're improoving!
be carefull with ur background shadings!
Look at ur last one the hard and think lines of ur bg taking away all the
attention of the figure.
U should think a bit about contrast. So for example if u have a very dark
background ur focus point should be very bright or the other way around.
By the way thanks for ur nice words in my SB!
Keep it up!!

Saludos... buen comienzo de thread. Me gusta lo que haces, veo que te gusta enfocarte en los detalles (sombras principalmente). Sigue practicando! Cuantos años tienes?

The first two images are very good, nice shading!
I think you must study more the volumes , the geometry and mass of the figures, before muscles and bones.
Keep it up!

What DANKA means by mass and volume/geometry:
Volume: Is a term we use when we want to talk about a shape, and the space that shape occupies. When someone says, "I'm having difficulty reading the volumes of your drawing", what they're basically saying it, "I'm having difficulty reading your drawings as representing 3-dimensional shapes or volumes". The bigger question is, how do we interpret objects as being 3-dimensional, and how can we as artist represent 3-dimensional objects on a 2-dimensional surface? There are plenty of ways to show volume, all of them interrelated in some way. We can use: Light vs. shadow, perspective, contour, color, and value (there are more, I'm sure). Part of being an artist is figuring out some of this one your own.
Mass is basically anything that occupies empty space.
Geometry is concerned with the shape size and relative positions of objects within space.
My crit, for example: in some of your sketchbook pages you have this habit of leaving a ton of space around your objects. For instance, in "03-02-2008001", or the second to last image from the bottom, your pretty much have this unfinished object occupying 1/4 of your drawing surface. The result is, the space overwhelms the character, and the character looks awkward and out of place. Your space, therefore, is not organized. We organize space with mass, and show that there is a hierarchy of space by containing it or defining it with mass. People don't often think of the shape of space which is between two of more objects of mass. Being an artist, then, is about controlling the use of space for the placement of mass. Do you want to overwhelm the space with mass, or do you want to create almost an equilibrium between your mass and space?
Remember, space doesn't have to be presented as white on your drawing surface. Space is just the absence of mass.
I hope that helps.
Good luck!
wouuhu! I really apreciate your comment! and Im not gonna wait until my next upload to say it!
Uhm the upload from today.
Some drawins from a movie first inked ones sucks!! hahahah the ball point drawings are better..
and some quick self portraits standing in front of a mirror

Hey man you have some good progress since your first post. The portrait of the short-haired woman and the blue pen drawings of the astronauts in the last post turned out really good. Look out for the lines to go over the form you want to express when you apply tone and not in a random direction. Thanks for visiting my sb. Oh and yes I am 20 now![]()
