the hair is like one big gloop, and his face is a little generic and life-less, but other than that this is pretty good

if he's the "bringer of light" why not display some of his powers..... it might help increase the dynamics of the pic

I think you need more color on everything. The face, the armor, the light, and I agree about playing off the characters name. The face also needs more detail and color and perhaps you should not make it so lifeless. The armor, is it shiny? Why not add some dirt? Those are my suggestions.
