Wow!

But it loses something in color?

In the sketch it looks eerie and spooky, the atmosphere is palpable....

the colored one is too cheerful and has lost it's moodiness...

I love the sketch though

the wolves legs look really weird to me.
maybe his front legs seem too small and his rear legs just seem placed wrong

Looking better and moodier, nicely done on that front, but I'm also a bit confused as to what is going on with his legs.

Thanks guys, I'm attaching the concept art for the wolf I did early to give you a better idea of what the wolf looks like. The legs are a little weird. I was trying to show that his front left leg is planted on the ground, his front right leg is planted on a root from the tree, his left arm is reaching for Red, and his right arm is placed on the tree trunk, and his back legs are off frame somewhere.

Ok, cool idea! I think it would look a little better though if you had some darker shading going on where the front legs meet his body
