as per the owls post above me,the way you render your colours up is very beautiful, especially the skin tones and hues.

    Please keep going :-)

    #121 - 3rd piece is mega good
    #259 - awesomely designed characters
    #372 - Fantastic Enviro
#437 - You have rendered this one amazingly
    #986 - Exceptional weapon designs
#1121 - love this female design
    #1424 - coooooooooooooool
#1785 - Head too big, but I see you repaired it later
#2056 - Top notch character batch rendering
    #2118 - Zombie Yeti - bruuuuutal
    #2580 - my post
    #2642 - my post
    #2720 - my post
    #2759 - my post

I was following this sketchbook right from the start,
not your start, my start, from june 2009, and I was always
amazed by your work, but the big flaw of this all is that you never
involved anyone of us in your work. All you did these years, was
showcasing your art, but you were never ready to help, or to
share some good advices or tips. At least you did not helped me.
I was posting here in hope that I will steal some knowledge,
but you were to 'selfish' with revealing your skills.
I evolved a feeling that my replies was totally ignored and that
they were just a number in your scorebook. Then I have abandoned
your work, cause I did not managed to get in any work communication
with you, but now I have returned again, after your posted in my sketchbook,
to go through your incredible 100 pages and to make a short review.

You are a fantastic artist, still too young and a lot of time to improve
to be a master artist, but as you said to me, that i yap too much, it
is a total reverse situation with you. You just do not share almost anything
behind your work, you just post, post and post but I have never realized
    anything about the real you.
Anyway, I am not criticizing you, I am just saying what I mean.

There are some people here that do not tolerate too much text
along the paintings, but I am not one of those. I am one of those
who are here to improve and to learn, and for those things, one needs
to communicate. One needs to lay down his thoughts and to share his
opinion and to show his approach to a certain problem. Ok, enough,
I do not want to infest your sketchbook too with too much rambling.

You improved unbelievably since my last visit, and I am still
    proud of you.
    Keep postin.
    Catch you later.

yknow pliss, every artist is different..not everyone will always want to share their journey or indeed tell people how they do things. Take me,im a complete rookie but ive already grabbed a handbag full-a homies to drag to the finish line.

By posting art after art, and study after study you are showing exactly what it takes to become as good as you. Hard work. That is it. Good job!

    Hey guys

I am a little late today, as really busy, but I just got home, and I saw some of your lovely comments, and when I had read them, I figured I SHOULD reply individualy to all of you, but I really have to get a couple of hours on the pillow so I can get my painting on tomorrow^^

However, it seems I have been somewhat remiss, at least in the case of LtPlissken, and so I think I should make the effort to clarify my position.

I am affraid I have made you feel unappreciated, and that I somehow have been holding back on telling about my process. I take this as a huge compliment, sir. I really didn't think people were all that interested, so I did what I do best, I paint, I draw and I post, usually in that order. Being a stickler for efficiency, I, when looking through other sketchbooks, tend to look at the images, rather than read the text and comments. Not that comments aren't important, but I just tend to think that the images give me a better idea of what to write as feedback, and I have just figured most people do the same. I agree that talking and discussing art is important, but I do that with my friends, so I just tend to like to discuss face to face.

When indeed people have been interested in more than I post on the SB, they send på personal messages, or they ask direct questions, and again, that seems to work out pretty well,.

I am really glad you have been taking the time to look, and comment, and I hope you will do so in the future, I will indeed keep posting, and should I get more time to do so, maybe I will join in a spirited debate on art

Anyways. here is the beginning of a personal piece. Trying to do some values first and then I will add color.

Using atmospheric perspective is working really well to add depth to the last image, and to push the female warrior forward. There are some nice dark values in the fabric. Do you think if you pumped up the lighter values, especially on the skin and hands, and the sword, it would really push her forward?

It's looking really fantastic so far. I'm excited to see how it looks with some color.

Like the new composition. Also, I think your tones jump to much on those previous colour studies, you could vary the colour temperature more.

Even before you came to Falmouth, you were a big kick up the back side. But now, especially seeing you rocking these studies frequently and getting your job, makes me know how hard and how well I need to be working and should have been for a long time.
Just keep doing what your doing! Its clearly working.
    Thanks for the inspiration.

Today has been a goood day^^ Went to Hønefoss and saw my friend do a kick ass tattoo of a dragon, ladidadi, and I got to sit down and do a observational study of him in action. Then we did some Black Ops Zombie Slaying, and I tell you, I scream like a fucking girl when I mow those dead hordes down! BOW TO THE POWER OF MACHINE GUN!

Now I just got home and me and Andreassen are gonna hang out and sketch all night

Well for now, enjoy this little thang
