I'm trying to improve my orthographics and was wondering if anyone had any references (photographic, drawn, so on) that I could view, it would be a great help. Thanks in advance -

This might help you
some great refs in the photosets

Yeah, That is a great site. I had snooped through the photosets, but hadn't seen any clear cut ortho-shots.
Correction: I did find one female turnaround in on of the photosets. thanks Alex -
Any more references are welcome. I have tried finding past forums that might have references, but for some reason my searches keep coming back with no matches. Does anyone know where they are?

Not sure if you are looking for actual orthographics or just reference?
Might be worth subscribing to 3dsk, even for just a month:

Also Not the best perhaps but pose maniacs has some nice 3d models that you can rotate: http://www.posemaniacs.com/blog/pose/
Though keep in mind a good ortho is in a completely neutral pose with arms out around 45-55 degrees or so, me thinks.
Here are some orthos of women that I found on the net a while ago. Enjoy.
Warning: Nudity.

I didnt realise you cant link individual photosets, but photoset 10- facial expressions and turnaround is probably what your looking for![]()
I.A. - Thanks man, I have seen this site before and viewed some of their samples, they seem very handy. I look into the investment -
Lone Wolf - Those are nice ones as well, are these yours? You don't have any male turn-arounds do you? Thanks for the post -
AlexC - Yeah, I found that once, thanks again.
Does anyone have the links that are on CA. I know it seems lame that I can't find them, but I looked and I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or what, but the searches come back with no matches. Thanks for all the post guys, if you find more maybe this can be a good resource thread for orthos. Take care -

hey Chris. I was the one that messaged you a while back on AIM about this very subject. Seems you're not at computer when I message you, and I'm not at computer when you message me. Heh. Anyway I think your orthos are pretty good. Beats the crap out of my attempts. I haven't been able to find many professional examples of orthos either. I wonder if they really do orthos in the business, or if they just say they do so we pull our hair out over trying to be able to do them. There was an ortho of one of Marko's characters on the massive black site but it was just front and back. Every decent looking ortho I've found online has just been front and back actually. Its the side view thats the hardest. And weirdest looking.
