    Any Good?

    Hi,

I'm just wondering if this book http://www.amazon.com/Force-Dynamic-...937789-3113438

by Mike Mattesi is of any good. I kind of glanced through it and saw many gestures that looked intriguing.

Any owners of this book care to share their experiences?

(PS: I apologize if this is in the wrong section)

I'm leery of any books that seem to be full of lights and sounds. And anything that promises to teach you things that aren't really ment to be taught, but to become Understood...

Edit: I haven't ever read it, so don't be to concerned about what I think! lol

This looks like a very interesting book. The page on confident directional force included in the "look inside' section is worth the price of admission alone.

I have the book. Cool gestures and exaggerated forms, but I didn't get anything much out of it. It's has a more sketchbooky type of flavor than an instructional one, if you know what I'm saying. I know Mike teaches, so having this book while taking one of his classes might make it more insightful.

My suggestion, have a look at the interior pages (if available at a local bookstore) before buying.

But isn't that the point of teaching? To understand?
This book can guide people to understand the concept, And subconsciously think about other things as well, (depth, form, volume)
I have that book, and I think it's a good buy.
Lol, It sucks that I'm asian. I can't help it if I look like a million other people.

My Sketchbook: Critics and Comments would be AWESOME.
