you got some fun looking silhouettes happening. congratz on the sb thread. hopefully it will work out for u.

To get depth with your lines learn to variate the spacing in your line rhythm. And size too. hatch hard for a few lines then slowly back off on the pressure and voulah you have a gradient. and gradients signify depth.

also draw with a permanent pen or marker rather than pencil. the permanentness makes you get the line right the first time, and also will build your line confidence much faster.

    check this dude out: http://tenminutedrawing.blogspot.com/

one other thing i wish I woulda known earlier. never use pure black. or white. but black is more important. I used to do all my silhouette studies in black and white, but youll find that the look has less of a pop and more play if you use like a 90%. you see black is just the darkest color er value you have... not some marker or paint that says its black. and visa versa for white. pure black drawings are ok tho, and its up to u to decide. using a 90% or 80% is just easier to paint into to. and besides in real life you'll rarely find a pure black... saturate(color) free value.

keep at it. the key to progress is consistency. not the amount, but it to will increase as long as your consistent.

These digital pics look like they have a lot of potential to be very cool concepts. Its kinda hard to judge what your general ability is based on these pics so I think you should post some more. I think OBX is the one to listen to with regards to the line quality and the secret to depth in your pencil work is understanding form properly and lighting, which comes into ways of showing form. Also drawing from life, and not just people, sofas, toasters, shoes, mettalic objects, plants, jus about everything is a good way to understand lighting better as well as form and the rest. I say this because its what I need to work on as well. Anway keep this up but try to keep a 50-50 balance between pencils and digi. Oh also use a large value range to give things depth.

I hope out of that mess of a critism you can desipher some usefull advice. Oh also any news bout Wolfbane and the sketchgroup?

I really like your work. The black and white contrast really puts them in a world of their own. The way you work with positive/negative shapes and how you put little elements on the picture like the 2 gray bars with the birds and the flowers on the bottom one makes me think you have a good eye for design - and graphic design is good money on the side to supplement your concept art career. Ever consider it?

Cool stuff reject but some of them look like they lack refining. Try pushing one of these pieces a bit further. Oh and does my siggy look alright?

With reagards to style dont try to force a style just keep studying and learning and a style should begin to show through. Its more important to draw things accurately than with style at first.
