ch1xx0r - hey man. the last one doesn't look bad. you should consider working on it a bit more. don't rush yourself to finish asap. I fall for that one too all the time. Just take you time and do a good piece. Looking forward to seeing more.

Thanks, MeTaL-Mike, I should take a bit more time on my work. I always get restless after about 30 minutes. Gonna do another one tonight.

I'm just beginning to learn how to colour. I know this might appear a bit arrogant but I couldn't resist doing some painting and posting it here once I saw the thread. It would help me a lot if you guys would tell me how to proceed in order to improve...

Vritra That's really good considering you're just beginning, I'm struggling with PS painting but I think I'm getting the hang of it already. The only thing I dont get about your painting is the highlights in the middle o_O

ChristianWeeks In Photoshop go to File>Save for Web and Devices and tweak the settings until you reach good compromise of quality/filesize.

    so here is my apple..

hi!, I'm new here, and I really liked this forum, so I had to post my apple

About me: I'm 13 years old and I've been drawing all my life, but I've been doing it serioulsy since I was 12, I just got a tablet for X-mas and this is my first speed painting, so I don't have a lot of practice, but I'm sure I'll improve with ur critics

I used bumskee first apple as a reference, hope u don't mind

sorry for my english, my mother languaje is spanish

Vritra that's really impressive, the choice of colours is great, but I agree with ch1xx0r, the highlight in the middle looks weird, but besides that i'ts pretty amazing.

    Red face

your english is really good, you dont have to worry about it. Its not perfect grammar, but anybody can understand the point you are trying to get across.

And if you are really 13 and drawing that good then i hate you.

    Apple and garlic mania continues!

Greetings, so many new faces here, also I am new here, and wow, I got tablet for christmas too, I've made two... let's also call it "speedpaints" - apple and few days after - garlic. Crits are warmly welcomed!

Christmas apple (3 hours), I already know about stupid casted shadow, what next? Does reflections seem to be so exaggerated?

And here, garlic, few days after (7 hours)

I'm quite scared of the times I spend by making such a small things, I know, I should hurry but I can't help myself and I'm afraid that it will be longer and longer :-)

So... Pretty please, crits now. *Jonish begs you pathetically*

Well. This is my first post here.

I'm finding that my style (sloppy) does not lend a hand to working in Ps. Here's to practice.
