Red face The Reapers Realm[of Flowers] [Update:19.Nov]

    Hi there,
finaly I managed to start a Sketchbook here at CA.
    About myself:
Im Sebastian Haas a 18 year old Student who (of course) likes to draw, and who is sure that he wants to achieve a job inwhich he can loot out all his creativity.
ATM I try to hardly improve my technique.
This is why I opened a Sketchbook here, so please crit me and help me!
To improve I try to sketch as often as possible and now try to draw more what I see and not so much from my mind (cause I think I first got to know HOW something looks before I can draw it from my mind (correct me if Im Wrong).
Enought Talk, lets see some (not so good work)
    Enjoy&Comment&Crit please
    Thx

Sry for the long time no updates, but there was a no time to draw, no fun to draw phase =).
But here we go with a few new pics,
a series of heads from reference, and a few other stuff.
I started to experiment with markers again.

Hm, some nice hands you got there. But there are some things concerning your themes that make it hard to comment on anything. Apart from some figures and constructed bodies that read "studies" to me, it's all bloody, teenage muscle infested super hero stuff. Nothing too creative. Try to get rid of some of the gore at least, people will more likely comment then. It's one of the basic rules in illustration. If you're not drawing/painting stuff for a horror rollercoaster or something like that, not more gore than needed to fulfill the task. If you look at gore in professional pieces, it's always "appropriate" levels of gore, not a sword covered all over in blood. Pieces that have such an amount of blood in them are usually ironic or for a certain peer group that you will most likely not find here.

    1. Thanks for your comment

    2. Hmm.. never saw it that way but since other ppl also told me that, maybe I use a bit too much blood n stuff, since it isnt my goal to produce ultra violently pieces I try to fix that. =)

    3. Please more of this crits pls. thats exactly what I want, Žcause thats IMO the best way to improve
