Thanks chuck - the inking was done completely in Adobe Illustrator with the pen tool (and pencil tool set to fill for one or two little bits). If you ever get to try this method, it feels quite difficult at first but is actually quite effective if you stick with it and spend a little time and effort! I've only just started using this method for inking whole characters and I'd say the biggest advantage is the ease of adjusting it once you have the lines down due to the small number of anchor points

    Hey GetiX,

Dude! - my subscribing thingy seems to be broken as I'm not getting notified when peoples post on my thread - sorry for takin a while to get back to you all - I've been a bit ill and run down these last few days blerg.

Yeh - you're right with the comic lol - I should try starting off with something simple to get the hang of it

Also! I've been scribbling away at the new Spidey challenge pic! - a few sketches and the final piece (smaller so you can see all the pic and bigger for the finer details):

Hey - enough about drugs already! ;P lol

Synthure - Thank you so much - it means a lot to me I've always said I much prefer 'life' in a piece of art before technical perfection

I hope to see a sketchbook by yourself soon!

Yay - voting for the 2nd Spidey Challenge any time now

i really like Black Cat. I really wish she didn't die. Or at least i think she did...she didn't deserve to...One day im going to make my own version of spiderman comic! it'll be kick ass ^_^

anyways enough of my black cat dreams, your drawing is pretty sweet, but i wouldn't mind seeing you draw some other marvel characters that aren't related to spiderman. Perhaps batman (lol DC)? or Wolveren (can't spell his name)?

    Malpanka - lol

Tooled - Thanks dude, Yeh I know sorry about that ( lol ) Well, as illustration, graphic design and animation are my job (freelancer doing mostly kids stuff at the mo) I don't think actual drawing will be a problem lol - but I do need to keep up with the comic art and other stuff too - so yeh!

My57 - lol really? I couldn't tell hehe hey check out www.comicvine.com - it's a great place to find info about characters.

Awesome! look forward to that comic - let me know when you do it.

Thanks - yeh don't you worry! I'll be doing other characters and you've just mentioned two of the most likely (you were almost there, it's 'wolverine' ;P )

anyhoo - talking about work - I should get back to it lol!

    cya

Lol yeh - if you're referring to Comicvine and how much stuff is on there about characters - it's crazy! If you want to progress with your drawing perspective and peoples - practice, practice, practice, you'll get it - and don't be afraid if it looks weird to begin with... Also start a sketchbook and document your attempts at it and ask for advice and paintovers (I'll help when I can ) Check Loomis out too - he is just totally awesome at peoples and perspective! http://www.scribd.com/doc/255814/And...Figure-Drawing

    Cheers

^ ah yes Loomis, i looked at that book, i have a book that i prefer for figure drawing though already. Its more drawing drawing buildings i need help with, i have been practicing, even though i should be using a ruler for it; i really hate to ya know? its sooo boring that way.

No worries - yeh I totally understand - I only use rulers for serious practice and really tricky important stuff. Most of the time I simply start by drawing two major perspective lines/angles to give me an idea of what I'm after and how dynamic I want to go with it, then by eye, I follow the lines and guess where they would meet and draw a lil dot (or most times I have to imagine it as it's like 2 foot of the page!) and then use that as a ref for other lines - just to check they at least 'look' about correct. But I'm a lot better at showing than telling so please feel free to ask questions or ask me to crit a drawing free drawing perspective is all about developing a good eye for imagining lines and points - I'll have to do a few examples or something

GetiX - hehehe LOL! I'm glad you liked it! and Thank you for making me one of your favs that's very cool

Bones-WT - hmm, I may have to study what GetiX said in a little more detail... but I think you could be correct... ;P

TManAKATruman - Thanks I'm diggin the 'diggin'

My57 - Thanks buddy, to be honest I didn't really create it as any character in particular more of an mysterious unknown - not evil or tormented ... more quiet, determined and methodical. A successfully, intelligent creation... but then again it could well be the Hulk, or another character!

It was a lot of fun doing the pic - I was aiming for atmosphere and am pretty happy with it

I'm hoping to do some more in this style

Anyways - time for sleep! Thanks again all
