Teen Challenge #34: Mixed up Scene.

G'day dudes, my bad on the delay dawgs.
Last one was kinda rigid so this one is very open.

The Rules:
Anyone ages 13-19 may submit an entry at any time before the deadline. Please host your image on a remote image-hosting site instead of uploading it to the CA server. This makes it much easier to transfer it to the poll thread.

The Topic:
Mix up scene, choose 3 topics, (i.e. African war machine + French Flying Stucture + Ancient Babylonian Wonder of the World) to create an environment and three influences (i.e. Drug Dealer + Zombie + Futuristic Cyborg) to create a character or characters to place in your scene.

Must include an environment with at least 3 readable influences and at least 1 character or creature with 3 influences.

Very open topic. Let your creativity flow, like diarrhea from a buffalo...

Please add a small description or storyline. We don't want a five page essay but make it nice, brief, and to the point. Especially if there is something in your design which needs explaining.

Add a border around your image with your name and the topic, like they do with the other of the week challenges.

The Deadline:
Friday, September 21st at midnight PST
Two weeks. Don't worry things are back on track now. Heh.

Hmmm so we need 6 clearly different styles in one image? This is gonna be a challenging one to work out without making it a complete unreadable mess... I'll see what I can do though

Than can be the same 3 topics for both the character and the enviroment.
You need at least 3 influences but it can go up to 6 (three for char and 3 for enviroment).

Right well thought I would get an early start on this one so I don't completely fail to complete, anyway mine is going to be based on the themes and cultures of aztecs, pirates and hell. You will see the pirates part of it later once I'm finished struggling with the damn clouds and lightning.

Well did a little more work on it,think I will push the background a little further then start work on the character (obviously the squidgy human shape at the front it just to show where it will be placed, I wasn't quite sure about the placement really I was thinking of moving him over to the left. Oh also is the perspective on the boats looking right? I don't even know how to check it so I just took a stab in the dark.

Well here it is almost finished now as I called in sick to work (just couldn't be bothered) and spent the majority of the day drawing. Anyway any thoughts on lighting, composition or texture would be greatly appreciated.

Ok thats my final.

A WIP:

Submarine+ Secret Garden +...?(hoping something will occur to me)

The submariner when I put him in will be jumping from the far right girder to the middle one. I don't know why they don't have bridges in this submarine.

EDIT:
Moving along a little, still trying to work out the stupid background, I'm trying to be all free and natural or whatever but it's hard with a mouse.

I'll be doing a Far Dareis Mai (Maiden of the Spear) from Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time series. The background will be of the Aiel Waste. Influences are mainly from the book but also the Arizona rock formations and African deserts. The character will be, again, mainly from the book but also influences (VERY SLIGHTLY) of ninja garments, and hot red headed chicks

I've done a bit more. The sketch is literally just a guideline for me to put my brush. None of it will show once I'm finished.
I'm just going to go ahead and abolish that rock. I hate it.

Didn't have time to color, but at least it's something....Ninja+SWAT police+custodians in an environment of easter island+New York City+egypt sorts. The one broom handle is off a bit too. Any and all critiques appreciated

blah, I just got my new tablet on friday since I lost my older one and started working on it. didnt know the deadline was on that day...

Well this is way past it's due date now so shall we extend it by another week? Then if it's still not sorted I'll post the poll thread. If everyone agrees new finish date is 28 September at midnight.

PS Yungks that looks amazing but how'd you manage to loose a tablet, thats an achievement.

in my opinion "we" could extend it, since a competition without competitors is rather boring.

COME GUYS THIS SHOULDN'T BE HARD TO FINISH. TAKE TWO HOURS AND DO IT! save that time, don't post any wips or what your gonna do, sit your butt down, stop browsing the internet, and finish it
