Need good critique on rendering and among other things..

Okay, I'm fairly new here in Concept Art, so this is my first Critique Center thread.

So here's my first few images for the critique center. A robot combiner that is a homage to the old Super robots of old and Sentai robots/PowerRanger Megazords. The head is the main control unit powered by a cyborg parrot, and the rest are drones. Fat Housecat for the torso, dog for left arm, Goose for right arm, and turtle for legs. The character's for a concept art project and a personal project of mine.

This is a rough concept sketch of the the robot. This was before I modified the crotch and legs to suit it better.

And here's a rendered version of the aforementioned pic. I'm still not happy with it though.


So, what do you think? Feel free to criticise my work and point out any mistakes I've made. I don't want to produce anything that has the quality of "Insect Battle."

Also, does anyone here have any suggestions regarding the colour scheme? Much obliged.
