    ______________

    ROUND COMMENTS:

i had to go ahead and do the POLL before having the feedback from Whiteeeeeee - i hope he will give us his imput.
Some entries are not in due to quality 0 mainly volume and form problems.. bad values. etc.

Acro - 3D is supposed to be used for reference only. You can have it as the support for your character and all - in this case it is not right - it's too much of a 3D objects forma a library gathered together and with very little brush up on top. Even so - as a whole pictures - your values are wrong.. light is inconsistent - saturation is too strong and even on the whole pictre etc. I explained it all here and now as i noticed your use of 3D for quite some time - start drawing man.. it;s FUN!

also i added some stars to some entries that barely made it to the poll - Carnifex - my friend - PLEASE spend more time.. be more carefull with your strokes... do those values right. gotta run! see you at the next one.

MIMEEEE - congratulations man! give us a niiiice topic now!

Here's my attempt at a Ralph McQuarrie rip-off.

It's very Star Wars I know...

Despite his looks, the Junk Collector was raised in a wealthy family. At the age of 15, he got bored with people (aspberger's syndrome, dad's best guess) and left his safe home for the adventures of the wasteland. Traveling across the wild with his stolen trailer, he is looking for equipment, clothes, food, weapons, comic books - anything usefull. His outfit is assembled from clothes recovered from various crash sites and derelict industries. The headpiece is a gold nugget in his collection - a real functioning Bombycillian Fighter helmet, although its powercells where drained long ago.
This particular day our collector have scored big time. Celebrating his find, he's taking a breather down at the banks of the river, enjoying a well deserved cigarette.

It's not as finished as I'd like but I don't have time to do much more to it

Long and hard years of harvesting useful parts from junkyards for reprocessing have driven Jeremy utterly insane. He simply can't stand to part from his pretty, pretty things..

Hi everyone!! Great entries so far! loving mime's but wish it had colour too!

    here is my entry

She is stricken to search the barren wastelands for a life she once owned, untill it was taken away from her and obliterated. She is cursed to scavenge for the old remnants of her life amongst the vast junkyard. When she has collected all of the items from her life, she will be free of the curse. She stores the increasing amounts of items behind her in her dress.

Hey all, some really cool work going in. heres mine.

One Man's Junk is Another Man's Treasure

This guy's always dreamed of opening his own special brand of junk shop. Now it's Grand Opening time, and he's named the shop "One Man's Junk." Lord knows where he digs up his "junk," but it's all nothing special to him. Perhaps a clue to his true treasure can be found in his fashion sense.

Nice work everybody, here's my final. This is my first CHOW, hope I posted it right.

The junk collector scavenges this apocalyptic wasteland in hopes to find any trace elements of gold. The collector uses this gold to make protective gear like his (Klimt) gold cloak and helmet. The gold provides protective elements from the suns heightened rays due to the earth's warming. Further protection from this toxic environment is facilitated by the stilts that are used to travel long distances.

Carnifex barely made it to the poll? talk about subjectivity! best entry in my eyes.
His character is alive and breathing without life support, and more of it I see sense in the way he drew this character. These splashes of values create the the soul as well, careless, a bit dirty, not very normal woman,,,, Beautiful entry! Humorous and creepy and delightful in the same time. I think very hard task is accomplished wonderfully.
I accept that you are the one who makes the judgment, but I want to add my humble opinion near to yours for diversity and better information.

There is something really nice in the way bluefooted presents her character. A lonely man in a landfill by the sea...painted as though he were a 17th century member of the aristocracy...
    Nice.

Lots of nice ones this time.

I voted for Hopsy - I just liked the style of this one the best. The huge pile of junk on the old guy's back was really nicely done.

Thanks, MephistoLV, for the nice comment. That's basically what I was trying to go for: sort of a formal portrait style. Glad it worked

Also: Forgot to thank Poshspice, again, for resurrecting my drawing from destruction by cat.
