DStraX: Thanks, still lots to learn though.
Here's an oil painting that's taken me about two weeks to do.
Don't usually work in oils but it's an interesting media that I'd like to try and get to grips with.![]()
Hoho, so much fun work hereThe oil painting is lovely, the red sky is quite ominous. I love the sexy robot DJs, too. Looking forward to more

Thanks AestheticMachine. I was quite worried the background wouldn't go with the truck, should of planned it more tbh. Glad you like my stuff.
Here's a few more sketches, learnt a bit about creating foreground and background on a thread somewhere.
Watching TV then adding in some watercolour.
Just a canvas I'm doing for a friend, with a friend in collaboration. I've done my bit so it'll be nice to see what she does.
Been fannying about with this for the background of a website.
May be a bit sinister for family based though.![]()
Random referencing and things.
Received the finished rig and I reckon she's done a great job on it. Loved the colours and gives it a whole new perspective.
Hope the person who receives likes it.
Added a bit to the bottom of an illustration to make some clothing.
More general practice.
More stuff from about....
Just a quick birthday card.
hey, your environments, vehicles, buildings etc are great! the hand studies are looking good too. but your faces are lacking structure. the features are drawn well but often positioned too flat on the skull and out of line. loomis is awesome for learning the structure of the head/face. keep up the great work!
THanks Lowkey. I'll research some Loomis and see what he says. I really appreciate your comment as you never see these sort of things yourself, you need other people to point them out to you.
Found a cool little painting program, so had a colour test.
Got to get my head around colour.
Another design for an up and coming night next year, Valentines Massacre 2.

Thats a pretty neat program. If you're on a computer somewhere and dont have your photoshop or whatever installed then you can still put down some ideas.
thanks for commenting on my book.
That oil painting of the truck is very impressive considering its...oil. I don't know how you did it actually.
anyhoo, I think your faces need work, I would only work from pictures untill you really get it down. It takes a while but I find portraits are very hard to do from nothing or at a smaller size.
take it easy
Cheers Wilkerson.
The truck is all in oil yes, the background was done with spray paint so maybe that's why it doesn't look very oilish.
Yeah, you're right I need to work bigger. I find it very difficult to get out of my sketchbook.
I thought I drew too many faces and need to work on my anatomy, although you're not the first to mention this so it's obviously a downfall of mine.
Cheers for your comments.
Just working on my knowledge of prespective, never thought there was so much to it.![]()
Watercolour stuff, pretty difficult to use.
Wow, nice updates you have in here man! Sketchbook pages are like they usually are, cool, alive and full of ideas.. I really like the vallenties day illustration, that style is kinda graffitish, something like some graffiti writers drop in their blackbooks, evil battle themed, I like that styled stuff.
Btw, it looks like you got a pretty steady hand with your brush.. those sketchbook pages are a4 right? Just some(lot) of those painted things are quite small, but they have quite a lot details, good looking shied, keep rocking.![]()
spark_zero: Thanks, I don't get many comments so cheers for the response.
The most recent sketches are from an A5 book, I realise that I should work bigger though.
Here's a few more for various projects that I might get paid for.
Good thing I like doing what I do![]()
Practicing greyscales.
Few little sketches from out and about.
A test sketch for some friends who want a portrait done, just got to work out placement.
