    Thumbs up

I really like the most recent ones, your line work is very nice. Especially like the airplanes and tank/turret drawings!

I like the industrial design like drawings in #145. Makes me want to practice more technical stuff. Your markers and highlights make them really pop on the toned paper.

Are those oatmeal pages from Canson Scrapbook? Those are awesome highlights, I still don't know how highlight works lol.

@Pigeonkill and Vay: Yep, Canson scrapbook.... sometimes it feels a bit of a waste to draw on them but they give the drawings a really nice look. The key thing about the highlights is not to overdo them and to just use them sparingly. Think of them like specular highlights, not the general light side of the form.

Ooooh, Warcraft! I always love seeing that stuff around.

Just came in to say hello after seeing your burnout thread. I hope things're at least a little bit better now, and if they're not, that they get better soon.

@Umbravita: Hey, thanks and hello, too! I am indeed feeling better now, I've been taking a bit of a break from the art thing, or at least not taking it so seriously. And the advice in the thread definitely helped too :p

@a la bapsi: Haha, yeah, it's always cool to recognize models in other people's work Like Rajiv in James Jeans' book.

Also, thank you for all the well wishes everyone. I do seem to have gotten over the art block. Here's another life-study:

love love your pen sketches. It looks like you have really good control of form. That gets lost a bit when you move to digital, things start looking a little too round and all of the edges become soft. In your last enviro everything is equally soft and there's no point of focus. Going back in and bringing out the edges would really push that piece, because I really like it but it could be even better.

I like how you broke them down that way, Takashmen I do agree, e has the best story. The thing just looks so mysterious lying there.

And yes, you can save the colors to your swatches.
