I really like the most recent ones, your line work is very nice. Especially like the airplanes and tank/turret drawings!

First attempt at quick sketch painting. Top two are 40 mins, bottom one is 20 mins.
What better way to spend a Friday morning than to do a self-portrait..
Lovely paintings at the top of the page, nice highlights![]()
I love these peeps.
Thank you, it's mainly a lot of thick paint![]()
I like the industrial design like drawings in #145. Makes me want to practice more technical stuff. Your markers and highlights make them really pop on the toned paper.
Make a sketchbook happy, feed it a tip to improve!

Are those oatmeal pages from Canson Scrapbook? Those are awesome highlights, I still don't know how highlight works lol.

@Pigeonkill and Vay: Yep, Canson scrapbook.... sometimes it feels a bit of a waste to draw on them but they give the drawings a really nice look. The key thing about the highlights is not to overdo them and to just use them sparingly. Think of them like specular highlights, not the general light side of the form.
um.. warcraft
40 min life study.
Ooooh, Warcraft! I always love seeing that stuff around.
Just came in to say hello after seeing your burnout thread. I hope things're at least a little bit better now, and if they're not, that they get better soon.![]()
@Umbravita: Hey, thanks and hello, too!I am indeed feeling better now, I've been taking a bit of a break from the art thing, or at least not taking it so seriously. And the advice in the thread definitely helped too :p
vvvery nice work
I'm glad to hear it! Keep resting yourself and don't be in a hurry to get back to it.![]()

Wow, so nice environment and machine study! Great and very accurate sketches) To me never sufficed patience so easy to draw lines. At me all crazy turns out often not clearly that I drew. Realy like your sketches so much ^)
I'm really into those nature studies. Did you use pen and marker for those??
Dont give up!I can see how much you love you put into your work! Keep strong and keep good work.I started reading your post on the other forum tread here- http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=222531

@a la bapsi: Haha, yeah, it's always cool to recognize models in other people's workLike Rajiv in James Jeans' book.
Also, thank you for all the well wishes everyone. I do seem to have gotten over the art block. Here's another life-study:
love love your pen sketches. It looks like you have really good control of form. That gets lost a bit when you move to digital, things start looking a little too round and all of the edges become soft. In your last enviro everything is equally soft and there's no point of focus. Going back in and bringing out the edges would really push that piece, because I really like it but it could be even better.
4 hours digital life study , from the wonderful Ron Lemen's class.
love the way you deal with color
great job!![]()
@Takashmen: Thanks, and yeah I've been studying a lot of color theory recently![]()
Here are some more enviro thumbnails from imagination
for me colors in C are the amazing, can i save it to my swatches?
"e" has the best story
"b" has lot of potential
keep it up!
I like how you broke them down that way, TakashmenI do agree, e has the best story. The thing just looks so mysterious lying there.
And yes, you can save the colors to your swatches.
exactly
and thanks for permission.
