Composition homework! This is my working rough done in graphite.

Angry house is angry. I might just turn it to solid black though.

And THANK YOU everyone for the comments (and the stars, the stars really really made my day) Seriously!

Thank you all for the replies Makes me feel bad for not posting more! I've been working on redesigning one of the earlier characters using new stuff I learnt, so I didn't really want to show it because I'm still figuring so many things out... but since there have been so many positive replies, why not...

The feedback I've received thus far has mainly been that the costume is really generic, so that's what I'm working out through all the silhouettes. I was also doing some gestures from imagination to work out how this character would stand/move so that's what all the doodles are for.

Yay, oil painting again! Painting year start!

Will continue this piece next week, let's see if I screw it up (I probably will).

I never know what to put for the category in the image uploader when it's a cast. Is it figurative or is it a still-life?? The question remains.....

I apologize for the bad iphone photo btw. The Vault where we keep our supplies is never very bright.

excellent stuff! The graphite is really coming along. You have great command of your brush in your digital paintings and I love the rich, opaque and heavy brush strokes. My one crit would be to go in tighter with your details and push the clarity.

    Cheers!

i really liked this sketchbook, it gave such a neat and clean feeling, also the enviorment on first page post #26 has such a great angel and feel to it, i hope it will turned into a colour work someday, also the fact you can see how much you progress since 2007 without going thro 50 pages which was something i personally enjoyed , will be on the lookout for more from you

@ND Hill: Yeah definitely. I'm just always so lazy to really push the finish once I have the big shapes in.
