Thanks Queenworm! For practice, I would recommend doing a wide variety of exercises, make sure you understand all your fundamentals, value, light, color, and so on. Perspective is VERY important. Looking at your sketchbook, it seems you're doing just fine.

Thanks Kevin! Your comment is very much appreciated

Here's a drawing that I ended up not liking at all. Oh well, live and learn.

Your environments are really well done, that seems to be the area were you really shine. I like the scale of the giant city one, but the colors on the one after that are really nice. Maybe a bit more of a contrast between background and foreground elements in that one though. You get a bit of it, but I just feel like it should be pushed a bit more.

Wow, I love the first 2 sketches in post 24! They have a really interesting feel to them. There's something about drawing people while they don't realise that always produces awesome images.
Everything else looks good so far, too. I really like the colours of the latest painting. Keep up the good work!

    Sigh... couple sketches from sketchbook.

Tired, drained, keep procrastinating, can't get to work, etc ... Life of an artist, hah.

On the bright side, I went to Blizzard with my school That was really fun and amazing.

Wow excellent work you have some serious skills not just technically but conceptuually. Your sci-fi concepts are pretty shit hot. I really like that concept in posst 332. Think you have a great style in your illustrations to and they actually seem to have a fair bit of depth to them emotionally. 339 is awasome I really like the idea a lot. But the one that really blew me away was "Mage Morning" 322. So atmospheric, so much to look and think about. I think it's the loose suggestive quality that leaves it all open for interpretation. If that was an oil painting you could keep it as loose as you have it and it would really stand out. Your work is great keep it up you have ability to go very far.

Where is Blizzard? is that where you live? All your stuff is so cool. Are you using brush pen? How long have you been painting for? Lot's of questions because you look really pro.
Do a lot of work and your work will be as good as your ambitions.

    I really missed figure drawing so much. It's so fun to do ; ;

Also I got to visit Riot Games HQ in Santa Monica, since my teacher is one of the art directors there. It was definitely the coolest experience!! They're so awesome.

@Eternal Apprentice: Thank you for the comments. Blizzard is in Irvine, California, it's a bit over an hour's drive from where I live. Yes, I do use a brush pen sometimes. I've been painting on and off for the past 10+ years, but seriously painting the last 3 years.

@skMop: Yeah haha, I'm very glad to have come here, don't regret a single thing about it. It's cheaper than my old college (which taught me nothing) and almost everything I know I learned from school here. My class size is from 3-8 people, it's like having private tutors.

Man, I love this thread - you are really dedicated and have improved a lot. You are breezing through this learning art thing, good job, keep it up

I would love to see a more polished painting, with a higher level of detail. Haven't seen one in the thread, might have missed them?
As you are reading this, I am trying to become more awesome:

    I agree with Shinkan.
Try to do one painting where you try to render as long as you can. Would be a good way to see where your current limits are.

Beside of that awesome improvement since the first page.
I am kinda jealous because your school looks so awesome.
Art schools in Germany are sooo bad compared to this school. ._.

    Keep it up dude!
