    Skill

Yeah, hi, first post and I've got a couple of questions

First up, I'm wondering what sort of skill level in art one needs for a job as a concept artist of some sort. It's something that appeals to me, but my skills are quite terrible at the moment unless I'm doing still life or something. Hopefully the art course I start soon will rectify some of that.

Secondly, I recall reading that it's better if you're multiskilled in the games industry and can do such things as 3d modeling and stuff like that. If that's the case, does anyone know the basics of what I need to get started making models and stuff, such as programs I need and things.

    Thanks .

Very high. Your competition will be the artists featured in the banner at the top of this page.

There is a link in my sig to info on the games industry, btw.
I think you are awesome, and I wish you the best in your endeavors, but I am tired of repeating myself, I am very busy with my new baby, and I am no longer a regular participant here, so please do not contact me to ask for advice on your career or education. All of the advice that I have to offer can already be found in the following links. Thank you.

Well that's me out, haha. I'll need plenty more practice. Seriously, though, thanks for the swift reply.
