    Nat's Sketchbook

    Hey guys

The name is Nat. I started this sketchbook 4 years ago but really didnt commit to it and let it slide. Drawing is a passion of mine that I always come back to. Other things may comes and go, but being creative is always there for me.

Hopefully I will continue with this and update this sketchbook weekly, showing some of my more favourite drawings from the week.

Feel free to give constructive criticism as it will be greatly appreciated and will help me improve

    Cheers

    Peace out

    Nat

    Week 1 Stuff

Heres some stuff I have been doing over the week.
Im currently doing Assignment 1 from Seedling's Concept Art 101 just to ease me into it.

Here is a sketch of my sunnies

And how I changed them into something else...A sunnies bug

This is a sketch of my keys and L.E.D light

    and the resulting concept

    more to come

    Cheers

    Nat

Cool studies. I can't really tell what skill level your at, but its good that seedling's got you thinking about that. Also keep in mind though that concept art 101 is not a newbie topic, so make sure your getting in enough life drawing and anatomy also.
Don't be afraid to go dark with your pencils also. Line weight can be very important.
    Good luck!

My "Singing Death" interpretation from CHOW

'This carnivorous animal flies down behind its prey before coming around with victims neck and slicing its throat with its two large Talons. It is dubbed "singing death" because the last thing you hear before you die is the singing of its wings combined with the sounds created as air passes over the pherimone release holes found on its back (much like the sound of air passing over an open bottle)'

    Some basic Loomis front sketches

one without the use of guidelines

Hi Nat! Good to see you getting back into drawing. I really like your studies, the sunnies bug is my favorite. Looks like something you would see in Wonderland.

Do you ind terribly if I use that tiger photo for a study myself? I've never seen one that color before!
